ComfyUI Tutorial - Conditioning Timestep Range

The Conditioning Time step range does exactly what it says: It lets you change conditioning for a time-step range.
I explain what that means without saying gross math words, so that regular humans can understand the principals of operation.

The "Mistake" I made with plugging in the wrong node shows 1 important aspect of these types of setups: If you are dropping out conditioning, you NEED to have something to replace it, or else the diffusion process will fail.

True, I had a weird idea the other week, what happens if you plug an IPAdapter directly into the face detailer node from the Impact Pack. You get some weird franken-faceswap.

Had been interested in seeing this used with text prompts as these controls are quite common with controlnet conditioning. I’m not sure if the choice of sampler would have an impact, but I’d love to see manipulation of prompts and time steps to maybe show how one prompt can set the broad shapes of the image and another can be brought in to guide the detail.

I actually haven't fully read the source code for the samplers yet, so I am unable to have a meaningful discussion about them. It's on my to-do list
