No problem, I'm always happy to hear I managed to help inform others. Kirkman (walking dead writer) isn't making that one easy with all his new 'Coloured' rereleased issues. Personally I really like his Deluxe (oversized) Hardcovers, thats what my partner has for Her Walking Dead collection.

Hey man I’m new to comics and I have a question, how many comic book runs should I read at one. For example I’m only reading a Supergirl run from the early 2000s right now but I want to read other stuff as well like The New Teen Titans run from the 80s by George Perez and Mark Wolfman.

Hey TKC, you can read as many or as little books as you feel comfortable doing at any time, it all personal preference. Some people prefer to read singles of lots of runs as they come out, while others wait to read complete runs in collected editions. Personally I generally have two books on the go at one time, one larger book like an omnibus and one smaller OHC or TPB. I like to break up larger books so I dont get burnt out but I dont want to be taken out of the story by reading too much at once. I hope that helps.

Cody O'Hara thanks for subscribing, I hope you stick around. I have bought a few things from FP website a while back and had no issues. I have had a preorder of a statue get delayed recently and I just cancelled it and bought elsewhere. Currently have a few buffy books on preorder to see if I come across any further issues. Biggest thing with them is they charge for postage so it’s better to order more at a time to spread that cost. Hope this helps, I will update everyone each month as things arrive or not in my monthly videos.

Thanks for the feedback, Glad I could help. My stand is from Amazon UK I believe, its great for most books up to about and inch or so thick. They are generally under cook book stands or something similar. I'm actually looking for an alternative to hold larger books when reading them, I will do a video on stands at some point once I get a few for different purposes.

I have a really important question it’s really quick I’m a huge Batman fan and I did some research and I’m gonna start collecting the Batman comics from the beginning as a side hobby. I just want to know instead of certain ones were you definitely have to buy the special edition version of them all the other normal comics in the series do I buy paper back or library binding?

For Batman books, most are available in larger thick trade paperbacks or Omnibus so its really your preference. I use wiki pages to see which collected editions are available. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Batman_comics

Killgronia you can use bag n board bags for Trade Paperbacks or standard HC, I couldn’t really recommend beyond that as I tend to just keeps my book as is.

So tpb is a comic book of all the issues of a series put together in 1 book?

Not ‘All’ the issues, generally its one arc in a typical trade, which is generally 4-6 single issues. Trades are then numbered in Volumes so you know which order to read them in.

You can start wherever you like. Most things get reset with the start of each era so they are good jumping on points.

Quick question. Library edition, is that just the same as a hardcover? I'm looking to get into Batman comics, and om Amazon I see paperbacks, and Library editions (for example Year one and Dark Knight Returns), for a few euros more. What do you recommend? Its just exactly the same, but with a hardcover? Any pros and cons?

As far as Amazon is concerned, it just means a ‘version made for library use’, could be softcover or hardcover. I tend to avoid the ‘library’ option on amazon unless they have no other options. If its a ‘Library Edition’ by Dark Horse, its going to be a much more oversized book, similar to DC Absolute size.

Depends where you are based but generally all good online comic book or book outlets will sell a full range of formats. IST and CGN are big in the states. I tend to us Amazon or Forbidden planet over here in the UK. If its a more rare book or OOP the you may have to look at ebay and the second hand market. Hope that helps.

Am I best purchasing individual copies of a manga or buying omnibus of 2 or more volumes in a book to help save money? And are those multi volume omnibus sticking to the true story line as the individual copies?

I dont read manga so I'm probably not the best person to ask. The way I understand it, the '3 in 1' or 'omnibus' are just 3 of the regular volumes in one book, typically on a slightly cheaper quality paper. Its basically a budget option but some people prefer it.

Deluxe Editions are typically Oversized hardcovers but sometimes DC calls a standard hardcover Deluxe. Image can do omnibus sized books or library editions and call them Deluxe. Its not really a standard, more just a way to say special edition.
