I agree with you about the census! I call shenanigans! 😅

Very good and articulated observations of the whole speculation situation. The artificial inflation of prices based only on inane and really unimportant aspects such as newstand vs direct shop editions is something I never understood. To me a "collector" is someone who reads and enjoys the stories, the artwork, the histories, the characters, the continuities and the basic fun of comic books enough so that continuing to seek that enjoyment is THE driving factor for buying more NOT an endgame financial gain. That's just my opinion and I'm sure it's not the more prevalent opinion and like the saying goes, opinions are like (place body part here) ...everybody's got one😉 Always enjoy your videos, Steverino, and would love to see you doing livestreams as well, amigo!

Hey Steve! Enjoyed the video and your rant! I feel the same way, as do a lot of us collectors out here. Keep the faith. Good stuff from G.M.! Take it easy my friend.

I'm glad to see a new video and I agree with your "rant". I agree with you on just about every point. The slabbing of pulps is plainly ludicrous. I am somewhat fearful of how that may affect the price of pulps and the upcoming Pulpfest.

Hi Steve! This was a great video, a lot of fun to watch, and a well worth the time investment to watch it. I admit that I put off watching it until today so I could sit back and relax, and watch your video in one sitting. I laughed out loud during portions of your rant because I've been saying similar things about CGC, variant covers, and comic book speculation for several years. I don't have a channel, so it was very cool to hear someone else give voice to my opinions. Thanks for the video! Take care!

I’m a little late on this video but no less enjoyable. Love the tee shirt and coffee mug! Bear Family records: I’ve been buying from them for awhile. Lots of rare psychobilly on colored vinyl which I’m collecting. Great commentary Steve, well done!

I've been looking at UK comics auctions on whatnot recently, the amount of people selling "key comics" on there is crazy. They don't even know it's a key they're just saying they think it is, I don't know how many people buy into this, anyway great comics especially the 80 pager, I'll keep an eye out for that All Star Comics Index as I wasn't aware of that one.

They play stupid games and get stupid prizes.. a lot of good points, loved seeing Bitter Root and Adventure Men at the end.. despite what is said, there are good “new” comics out there

Just a few minutes in, and I'd definitely watch your live stream. And as always, you're always welcome to jump on one of mine.

At the heart of the spec game is graded comics. I have said all along that grading should be used for first appearances of major characters and issues where something of true significance happens ( ie: something that effects the book going forward). Getting books graded simply today you have a 9.8 of something is ludicrous. I saw the fulfillment of that at Heroescon. There were several vendors selling high grade copies (9.4 and above) for $10. Next to fall (if it hadn't already) is the variant cover scam and the"key" issue myth. Just because the comic shows Spider-Man eating a hotdog for the first time does not make it worth grading nor does it make it a "key". Enjoyed seeing the books. Agree on all points made.
