Loved watching this tour. My first submission was my ASM 300 and it got the purple label. I was not a happy collector that day. I remember saving up for it back in the late 90s. The dude who owned the comic shop was literally a real life version of the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Hefty, goatee, ratty pony-tail, and a very condescending attitude. Claimed that book was in such good condition which was the reason for the price. I know he's trying to make money but I don't have it in me to pull those sleazebag stunts.
@DTsGEEKSHOW9 ай бұрын
This is one of the reasons I like buying graded comics. I had that Iron Man #1 in my collection since the early 90's. It was my prized possession through high school. Came back trimmed and color touch. Didn't know any better back in the day.

Incredible collection! I have to ask, do you have any particular reason as to why you don't leave your books displayed in your comic room?
@DTsGEEKSHOW9 ай бұрын
I have a few reasons. Probably more paranoia than anything. Security and preservation being other factors. I like to keep a lot of the high dollar items in a dry dark temperature controlled and secure space. They are probably fine here on the wall (especially with additional mylar protection), but I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket, if you know what I mean.

Nice video, collection, I think there's a few missing from your wall that should be there, Tales to Astonish 27, 35, 44, Tales of Suspense 52, 57, Tomb of Dracula 10, Giant Size X-Men 1 and X-Men 94 ;-)

I still need to add a few keys. Some got left in the box when I was reorganizing the wall. The GSX 1 is too thick a slab and won't fit in the channel, unfortunately.

First off; beautiful presentation, you have a great collection and love that most of the modern comics are direct and not news stand which I find off putting in terms of presentation. 2.
