I think Tom got so much publicity in Avengers it kind of took away from the other actors .I don't think the producers realized what an impact Tom would have had on the public as Loki. Same thing in Thor 2 the dark world. Tom playing Loki kinda steals the show. I do wish they would have put him in the movie Avengers anyway. Maybe at the end of the show where he would show up and help them out. Can't wait for Thor 3. And sure as hell don't want to see Chris as a woman. That's all man there .

I kind of understand why the Avengers 2 won't revolve around Loki again, they indeed would be chasing the same story line which would be a ridiculous mistake from Marvel (I mean, come on, we have every right to expect big things from Marvel after the Thor and Iron Man series.) But let's admit it: Tom's extraordinarily big fanbase DID prove to be useful when the movies came out. He NEEDS to have at the very least cameo, a secret scene or SOMETHING! Shia lacks of classic stuff and too yankee to have perfect accent as what tom has. So i bet, the effect would be totally different, because tom knew how to bring loki to life

That is def Tom's talent as an actor. Loki in itself is a fascinating character, but tom really went over the top and brought it to life. His charm has a magnetic quality and he knows how to overlay all those complex emotions to create an authentic, human and vulnerable character anyone could sympathize with. He knows how to create masks over masks, and you know, especially when he just delicately peels off the edge of the first to just slightly bare and show the off the second or third, THAT IS MY JAM RIGHT THERE.
