yes its the comically highest possible hp but crystal/surge stacking elemental damage resistances has more effective hp at 95% (using multiplicative formula) which is used by resolve crusher and interrogation talents to convert all damage into electric, and with saint jay (frozen web), having 95% lightning damage guarantees that you heal more damage from getting hit by bloodless than you take ontop of aoe dread breath healing and graceful to restore armour and blood additionally, since the songchant nerfs high mantra pen builds are SUPER uncommon, as opposed to builds that use high pen weapons which are common in the current meta

if you want something like level 5 frost mantras but still want 100% effective RA, you can go 80 frost, get lv 5 mantras, and then mastery down to 77. You'll end up with 91 fort that way. Personally, I went lv 5 frost and blood (though ironsing might honestly be better since I'm pretty sure level increases the amount of caltrops thrown) and ended up with 86 fort post-mastery, meaning I still have 36.8% pen reduction in exchange for having 2 types of mantras maxxed out.

@A-Person-Who-Probably-Exists Nope, your mantras keep their level even if you go below the req with shrine of mastery (according to the wiki), so you can go 80 of an attunement, lower it to 77 and be all good. Also I did the math (which I literally said in my comment), you only loose 3.2% pen reduction. Trading 3.2% pen reduction for levelling your mantras is quite a good deal. You don't HAVE to do this, this is just what I personally would do.

I made that exact build but instead of ice i went flame for flame wisp healing!

Niceee , i was considering to go for flame , its decent due to phoenix impact heal, reduced blood dmg and of course, flame wisp. But issue is im guessing you took RTDA as well , RTDA reduces burn dmg. So there won't be any good dmg unless you get rid of that 5 hp from RTDA and go 3 song 3 eru. ( Plus , i wanted to use cold blooded hehe)
