YES!!!! I been saying the same thing. Aquaman is my favourite comic going at the moment . And I have never read an Aquaman comic before this. I was reading it by chance, issue 5 or 6 (It was the art that drew me to it) and I kept reading and reading and thought 'This is actually decent' so I got the back issues and am up to date on No16. Issue 15 is the big holy shit issue dude. It's what solidifies this as the best comic. So glad I'm not the only one!!

Why is Superman being used as a government tool?! It takes away a lot of what made Superman great. I always thought Superman was the voice of reason and the peace keeper. Supes should have back up Aquaman and warned everyone what Aquaman can REALLY do. But I'm totally digging this story, I definitely need to get it.

Aquaman would never be held in jail. Political figures from other countries are pretty much immune from law. They just get deported... This entire comic rests on the writer's lack of knowledge of how the system works. Not only would Aquaman not be held like that in general, he wouldn't be held like that as a replacement for a criminal and if he were to be treated like that it would cause major political issues around the world and people's animosity towards the US would sky rocket. It would be a good way to cause WW3.

Do some of the old Transformer comics from the 80s they actually have some very good stories and being robots they were able to get pretty brutal for (dismemberment and death, well dead as a robot can get lol) 1980s example: one story invovles a Autobot spy who from its inner dialog you can tell its sorta autistic/childlike and has been talked into doing this very dangerous mission on the grounds he was built with a special arm thats good for spying, he goes on thinking to himself how proud hes of his arm and about 5 panels later a Decepticon guard is taking pleasure in crushing his arm. It was pretty dark for a 10yr old imo theres also startrek comics robocop comics and other franchise comics that actually got good writers

My favorite titles out of Rebirth are Aquaman, Green Lanterns, Batman, Superman, and Titans. I'd probably say the main Superman title is overall the best of the best. Titans is indeed a great title and I loved it, but I think there is some natural bias toward it as it is the return of classic Wally West. Longtime fans will probably rate the book an 11/10 even though it's really more of an 8.75/10 or a 9/10. Definitely looking forward to more of it though.
