- When Snuffy gets a chance to try out a new thoroughbred, he almost has old Sparky turned into glue.

- Snuffy has a big chance to become a great artist ... under Barney's guiding hand.

The cameo appearance of Smokey the Bear in SMOKE SCREAMS Is my favorite part of this classic episode of Snuffy Smith from 1964. In addition the Indian chief talks like comedian Hugh Herbert (voiced by actor Paul Frees).

1964 Was the last year of the 'comic king' series when paramount was returning to back it's movie theater schedule. Also, Shortly after the 'comic king' series ended, Seymour Kneitel died.
