Robin is my favorite DC character. Batman without that core of utter darkness. Can still have a life. I'm a Tim Drake fan bc I like the more detective aspect but in the DCU Nightwing might be the most widely accepted character among other heroes and is a close second

I think that Robin has become bigger than what the title was supposed to be especially with Tim and Jason and Damien is doing great things with the name..... I think the name needs to be more than just a Batman side kick.... it’s time to start a Non-Wayne trained Robin to take up the name that would be dope af you know like Robin is the one who made him/ her or whatever want to save people so they take up the name and the colors and start their own story

Robin will always be just a side kick. That's the point. Each one reaches a point where they finally grow into their own Hero. Robin will likely always be the biggest sidekick but still a sidekick. Even then only 3 of them have truly built names as their own Hero so far with Nightwing easily being the most well known. Plus Damien is a Wayne but he wasn't trained by Bruce or raised by him either. And when he became Robin, Dick Grayson arguably has a much larger impact on his growth, as a brother and even a type of a father figure (since Bruce was gone for a while due to the whole time travel thing). I also doubt anyone would want to use the name and not be associated with batman
