It may be irritating and a let down, but I enjoy that they haven't revealed who Red X is. The cliffhanger is suspenseful. It forces you to rack your brain, trying to figure it out, yourself. Folks, time to use those detective skills of yours! Let's try to figure out who took on the mantel of Red X, this time!

Red X's identity may be revealed later on. But even then I rather they didn't do it at all to keep the character very intriguing. It also doesn't spoil the surprise for fans who may wanna discuss who Red X is. Or at least the writers leave his identity until much later on.

While I am enjoying this series, I think it would have been better if the Red X stuff wasn’t in it. I feel like it should have been more about the titans schooling the young meta human students. Have the comics first focus on the titans (Nightwing, Donna Troy, Beastboy, Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven) starting the school and training their students, then focus on the teen titans that applied there (Kid Flash, Red Arrow, Crush, Roundhouse, and Bunker) and then focus on the students. Side note: I would add Jericho as part of the titans in this run and I would add Steel and Lagoon Boy(if they didn’t kill him off in HIC), and I would have the main villains being either HIVE or Fearsome Five, and if they want to use Red X in this series, he can be part of the teen titans as a security guard.

Subtle hints showing how the timeline has changed. That future, which would have led to 5G, was revealed to have been "averted" in Flashpoint Beyond. That future now only exists in Hypertime (along with Titans Tomorrow, Legacy, and Beyond timelines).
