Speaking of Joe Chill, the Brave and the Bold episode "Chill of the Night" is probably the most underrated Batman story ever written. Batman finally confronting the man who ruined his life and also revealing to the criminal that he created with his egoistical acts the monster that got rid of Gotham's crime is simply EPIC

LOVED that episode! Batmite refs it later on as the 'dark & brooding' episode of an otherwise light-hearted series. Also, really wish Beware the Bat had lasted longer than one season. I was REALLY into that one!

I LOVE IT! He can know what scares him, he can prepare and train for it, he can use his knowledge and willpower to push through, despite the fear, despite the pain, and focus on his true mission, but just like how simply knowing something doesn’t stop it from happening, just because he (and even us at this point) know his fears he will NEVER stop being afraid of them, it’s like a dream version of Chinese water torture!
