you never once brought up that that sequence was a dream. hearing your narration of it, i thought the Black Flash killed Linda so hard that it created a temporal paradox alternate timeline where she and Wally were able to have a long and happy life together before history reasserted itself.

It's a comic book you dip, it's not going to be perfectly accurate. Also the reason the Black Flash came for Wally initially is that it was his time to die, it just accidentally took Linda instead since Wally wasn't there on time.

I think you're one of those people who really don't appreciate the concept of comic book creativity and just go on to conclude negatively something immediately just seeing one part. It is said that Black Flash is only coming for speedsters, while in plain view it's cause they're too fast for any other elements of death to catch. But the fact that the speedsters have their own spiritual source in form of the speedforce and multiple speedsters were either trapped or emerged from it after death proves that it is their version of afterlife or divinity. That's where the black flash comes from. That said, if you're implying to the story of written with the concept of death in such a manner, I do agree this one could've been better and less confusing.
