Really great storyline. Honestly there is so much they could do with Power Rangers in terms of movies. They could create their own Marvel like Mini Universe. I just feel they strayed too far away on the 2017 from the original characters that it ruined any potential of the sequels. Now Hasbro seems to be rebooting it. I would love for them to do a timeline like this 2021 - Basically a retelling of season 1 and the 2017 but more true to the personalities. Rita Introduces Tommy at The End (Rita and Goldar as Villians) 2022 - Green with Evil storyline, Tommy breaks free from Rita at the very end and loses his powers (Green Ranger and Scorpina as Villians) 2023 - Lord Zedd arrives and destroys all of the power rangers and takes their powers. Zordon introduces the White ranger to stop Zedd (Zedd and "Enhanced" Goldar with Wings as Villians) 2025 - Gold Ranger/Zeo Crystals Movie 2026 - Black Dragon, Evil Tommy Part 1 (perhaps same reality or a alternate) 2027 - Part 2 Then from here you could do a Rita and Zordon origin where they were once rangers on another planet but Rita betrays Zordon. Perhaps Rita was the original Green Ranger. Also a gritty Psycho Rangers movie spinoff would be kind of cool as well.

Actually it was because of that SOB jonathan tzachor notice how his name in the credits disappeared after Super megaforce? It was all because of him. He kept shooting down all sorts of ideas the writers had for example. There were plans to make troy a chosen one a magnet that attracted gosei to him and the others were to have been recruited as a result of that. There were also plans to have him connected to the grid which would've given him powers that super Saiyan blast was to be connected to that as well as robo knight. There were story lines and pitches about the difficulties you'd have if you were a teen and ranger. And that sob kept shooting it all down because it was too boring. As for samurai it was in fact a rush job because he thought it was a great show and shouldn't be changed all that much resulting in production falling behind schedule. Hell the story editor before bates was brought on was a translator. Also get this during the "legendary battle" at the end of the series Jason david frank wanted tommy to hand over the dragon dagger to one of the rangers you know like passing the torch? Wouldn't let him do that even after he got the megaforce cast in on it and after suggesting they could just have tommy drop it and have a megaforce ranger swipe it up a scene they could've done still wouldn't let him.

Actually, Kyle Higgins has stated in interviews that the comics are "in continuity" to the show, by request of MMPR co-creator Haim Saban himself, despite being set in the 2010s. I guess it's a separate continuity, but the events happened in the show's universe.

I knew this wasn't the Power Rangers that I grew up with in the 90s within the first 30 seconds of the story because Kim asked Tommy if he'd like to get a cup of coffee LOL silly I know but the comic is GREAT! Perfect for fans like me who were born when MMPR was on the air. This is a more mature take on the Ranger franchise and I LOVE it. Good for older fans since the series is still too childish in terms of story lines, writing and dialogue. Heck, even the Saban era and Disney had some darker tones that didn't make it feel like the show was dumbed down to the point that even toddlers don't enjoy it!

Yeah... the original Might Morphin Power Rangers show had her seem incompetent--and several villains showed up over the course of the Mighty Morphin run being all, "I can do better"... and it got literally to the point where Rita was all, "hey.. hold back Zeddy boy--let's just watch. They will learn what they are up against." It kind of gets to be a running gag in the follow up series where a bunch of invaders come in being like, "oh hey, this will be easy"--and after a few failed attempts Rita just shows up and is all, "Hey 'sup... I heard you were talking about how easy the Rangers were to defeat--how exactly is that working out for you? I mean--what with me being so incompetent and them so easy, you've naturally conquered the world and everything, clearly." I still have to completely catch up on all of the shows... but the Rita being incompetent is something that kind of ends towards the start of Zedd showing up.

This comic series does a lot of cool stuff with our favourite heroes. But one thing that I don't like that they show the power team being so quick to argue or disagree or lose their temper. This is nothing like the original team. There was the occasional disagreement but but was often quickly resolved.

So they finally went with my idea.. As a kid i always wondered why they had to trade their powers up In stead of just combine them like here with green & white. Always knew if they combined starting in mighty morphin, then by lost galaxy they'd be unstoppable. Id think of crazy asinine combinations growin up like "Zeo Dragon #5 Tiger Turbo Space Ranger power!" And have crazy lookin fusions of all the costumes. The DBZ fusion saga i was a big fan of, & its where i got the idea. Or at least the place where the idea was used to its fullest in another media i later saw. Except i took it further. Fusing AFTER already fusing.
