Elvis died in 1977, and John Cameron Fogerty now stands as the true living king of rock n' roll. This song rocks better than anything on the charts in 25 years. Nobody today plays pure rock n' roll any better than this guy.

John released this under his own name on a Fantasy 45 in 1973, not long after the final breakup of Creedence Clearwater Revival. This was of course prior to the Blue Ridge Rangers recordings. Other than the earliest Blue Velvets & Golliwogs 45s, the 45 of "Coming Down The Road" is one of the most obscure records in RocknRoll history.🎸

Would you ever think for just one minute, that this amazing guy is in his mid60s now? I was always a John Fogerty-Fan and always will be :-) Keep on rockin' It's the same with Russ Ballard, also born in 1945. He wrote a lot of songs for others like Kiss, Hello, America, Hot Chocolate.... I visited a show in a small german venue and everyone was excited about the powerful singing and playing of this guy and his all-star-band. Amazing !!!

A bit strange that Status Quo who got their signature song with Fogerty's "Rockin' All over the World" never covered this song (AFAIK). Too bad, that this song only exists as a poor sounding single on record. A digitally cleaned version ought to have been on the "The Long Road Home" collection, as well as Fogerty's Blue Ridge Rangers single "You Don't Ome Me/Back in the Hills".

John have written this song 1974 as single, and he played it in the grammy 2008 with Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richards because Jerry Lee and Richard said him that he should play a song to describe the occasion, then he said he had made a song 35 years ago. And all the fans think that is the best song for ever and in his birthday concert in helsinki he startet to play this on his tour because the fans want this!! sorry for my bad english, and sorry if i have written mistakes
