In the Little Tokyo District of Downtown LA, Hello Stranger brings to you Oishi Barrio (Oishi: delicious or tasty in Japanese; Barrio: neighborhood in Spanish). One Sunday a month, Oishi Barrio welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life, to share in their experience of a new outdoor market, with curated local vendors, live music, DJs , and chef-prepared brunch.
Our location is the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center Plaza: “Since first opening its doors in 1980, JACCC has evolved into one of the largest ethnic art and cultural centers in the U.S. The Plaza was designed by world-famous sculptor and designer Isamu Noguchi, a native of Los Angeles.”
