Respect is a two way street. You want to respect your parents, but how much respect have they shown you ? Think about it .

As the parent of a gay man, I simply don’t understand how anyone can say that to their child. I’m glad you chose you; but how hard that must have been.

Another excellent video. It was far from choppy and messy. You were articulate and spoke from the heart. I am sure that if gay people under pressure could somehow find this video and watch it, they would get great comfiture, especially from knowing that they are not the only one. You had a particularly difficult problem emanating from the culture in most Asian countries being so engrained with the idea that homosexuality is a sin before whatever 'Gods' they choose to worship. There are signs of a gradual change. Gay marriage is now allowed in Taiwan and Thailand may eventually move to a position where gay rights are made the same as any other member of society. In Korea they finally accepted that sexual acts between same sex couples are legal. The Pope has recently agreed that it is acceptable for Catholic homosexuals to be blessed in Church, (although some of his cardinals are not at all happy with this idea and have formed a rebel group). But it will be many years I fear before society and culture eventually recognizes homosexuality as a matter of birth rather than something that is learnt (and can be unlearnt). For me, I think that all religions are just fairy tales made up at the time to help control the people. They can't all be right. In the UK, a recent university study has shown that 10.4% of young people between the ages of 16 and 24 class themselves as gay or bisexual. This is markedly up from the nominal 8% published in a number of other previous studies. They do not attribute the reason for this to an increase in the number of gay people, but to the more relaxed attitude to gay people in society who now feel able to reveal their preferences without fear of retribution.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m hopeful of a day where the world sees LGBTQIA+ people as equal. It’s beautiful to see the fear of coming out diminish each generation. I hope that continues. ❤️

Who are you to decide who is a Christian and who is not? Your specific sect of Christianity might reject gay people, but there are thousands of congregations around the world that accept them. If you really want to follow Jesus’ teachings (which never said anything about homosexuality), stop lurking the internet and questioning other people’s religion, and go do something positive for people in your community.
