Hey Ropey. Great video as always. We arrived in PdC Thu 16th Jan so appreciate the beach updates. We’re off to Playa Punta Esmeralder tomorrow starting at Mamitas on the beach, so we’ll see how that goes. Hey there, enjoyed watching this video since I have been a long time visitor to the Hilton, 16 trips by myself to be exact. My last trip was the end of October and there was no beach in front of the Hilton, the water was up to the vegetation. So happy to see the improvement! God bless mother nature. You also walked and filmed my friend Raul who sells parasailing right by the Hilton gazebo, it was cool seeing him. He needs a diet....lol Last trip I heard condominiums were going to be built on the Mamita's beach site. Sure hope that doesn't happen as it will surely ruin the vibe of the area. Thanks for the visit to my second home and happy place, be back in April and can't wait!!!

Les phew! That Dronaldo drama was tense even though I knew he was OK 😮😂 Thanks for skipping volleyball to film this, I’ve been wondering what the beach in front of the Wyndham is like now. We’re staying there in March and it’ll be our first time in Playa Del Carmen as a couple, and first time in Mexico for our adult kids and their partners. Welcome to the channel my friend! If I’m not mistaking, The Residence Inn is a little far from the beach. The weather beginning of July is generally more hot and humid and last year we had a hurricane (Beryl) at that time! But sometimes it’s beautiful too! Thanks for watching 😎☀️🏝️

Not that I’ve found as of yet.. I just go to Frutería Esmeralda on CTM or spots like that… there’s a market in Colosio but it’s far away from the center and not any significant savings

Wow playa 38 is back but I remember I'm February 2024 we could sit far away on the sand watching the moon rise over the ocean and it was a full moon. Water temp was warmer than air 😅 Mamitas did look as good as it get! And rip ceviche Corazon 54😢 😢😢😢

The problem with beaches in playa is lack of public toilets/ showers. I read 88 and esmeralda have but none of the others in town or am I missing something? For mamitas I suppose you could go to the restaurant I think they used to charge 20pesos or something reasonable.

I would love to but it truly depends on so many factors: how high the demand is, the actual taxista and how much racism or white hate he or she does or does not have, if it’s raining heavily or not, if you have a female with you wearing high heels they’ll almost always over charge you because they know you’ll pay it… so on and so forth. Expect to be price-gouged until we someday get Uber and or In-Drive in Playa.
