No. I didn't patch the 1.02 game objects as that would cause incompatibility on cnc-online. I did however patch the 1.02+ maps to include some additions. I'd like to see quad turrets in the future, but re-balanced, as theyd be a bit broken as is. In the future I can see a new server/patch addressing these things, and those additions I added in 1.02+ will be available game-wide.

Thanks for the 4 k mod hopefully we get some casts in it to show off its glory, and I haven't played in a while but have they fixed the purifier flame turret glitch and the tech center mortar upgrade bugs yet , they were the only ones I noticed

if you mean the telescope of the tech center, that was fixed. The purifier was also addressed, It had an issue before on the R16 maps.

C&C3KW might be my favorite game of all time, 1 brief question please, on my PC the game seems capped at 30fps is there any link please, any idea how to get it to run at 60fps? ....will appreciate if you can answer

There is some tool that does it but after using it I think its worse than 30fps. Animations and unit responsivensss are worse. If you have a freesync premium or gsync display kw will work really nicely with it. Just disable vsync in global settings of your graphics driver and the input lag will feel as though it has halved. For me the game feels smooth with 30fps if you have vsync off and set mouse scroll settings a bit higher in game. If you insist though there is 60fps tool on steam and a paid beta mod known as "SMT". Again, I think its worse as it makes compromises. Also cheers for the 2$!

You cant download old versions as i always replaced what was there. Basically its final now besides maybe some future bike projectile glow option like rocket squads to spot easier in battle. Or saboteur house color improvements to see them better in team games.

Just one thing I noticed (also in teh base game), the MARV firing & impact effects/animation is rather lackluster compared to its damage and super unit status. The shockwave needs a kind of heating distortion effect like Scrim buildings have or something similiar + a better texture. Anyway keep it up!

Im going to make the marv gun rotate in 1.02+ r20, so thatll make it more like the campaign cutscene. I cant change unit animations without breaking compatbility, but ill try it and see before assuming it cant be done outside a mod map.

Yeah it works online, but the official servers were shutdown in 2014. The alternative, which works the same way is cnc-online.net Furthermore i recommend the r21 map packs ( which contain extensive bug fixes, desync fixes and improvements across the board). The only map variants are the two here for R18 map packs. It's a taste of what is possible without breaking compatibilty. Redzone Rampage also has night lights on the alternate version of this. Blue zone maps were untouched.

The version is 1.02 (which is the last patch released by EA), but we as a community play on modded maps ,that's called "1.02+". So what youre looking for on Command post, are these 1.02+ map packs. You can avail all the features in my 4k addon by using them, though they are optional.

I got c&c 3 tiberium wars and kanes wrath on origin. I downloaded the 4k mod, and launched kanes wrath, but nothing appears to have changed. I'm not sure what I could have done wrong....

You installed it right ? You have to run the exe. It should show the 4k add-on logo in the main menu, thats how you know it works. Also, if you just installed kane's wrath be sure to run it at least once before using the installer. I assume the language you have the game in is English? If not tell me which language you have the game.

It will be working perfectly if it shows that in the main menu. Try some games, you should almost certainly notice differences with colours, self illumination, decals, icons, particle fx , texture resolution zoomed in etc. If you ticked the GDI alt shader and other options in the installer, you'll notice it even more. Also remember, some of the features are only in R18 maps. (maps with [R18] prefix). I did that to maintain compatibility with the cnc-online server. That is if you want to see the ceramic armor skins, and a bunch of other stuff like more GDI night lights youll need 1.02+ R18 map packs.

At the moment it is not. I have been exclusively focussed on Kane's Wrath. I made this to promote activity on the online server and to make the game feel, look nicer to play. Maybe in the future I will port some stuff over to tib wars. It took over a year and a half to reach the state at which I considered it finished. I also did this for free, so making something for a game I do not play is not very motivating.

Thanks man. To answer your questions, yes, it will work with the Steam version. The installer I made checks for the installpath and that registry key is the same for steam, origin and all versions. We play on modded maps, which contain balance changes and bug fixes. Over the years the community refined that and it is what it is today. It's more refined than vanilla 1.02 from EA released in 2008 and if it weren't for that many, including myself wouldnt be playing today. You can get the R18 map packs (and I encourage it as the 4K mod addon has extras that work with those maps) from cgf-uploads.net . Command Post requires registration, but its best you get the r18 map packs from there as it'll ensure compatibility with the 4k stuff. Oh, thats nice of you. Yeah, the repair radius is different on those versions. I recommend you get the latest (R18 Map Packs) , as you can avail all the features of this as well. Also i recommend disabling vsync in your graphics control panel - as that will speed up the map loading by quite a bit and overall it makes the game smoother. I bought this through an Amazon pack many years ago. Built a new PC a few months back and tried to install. It wouldn't let me, contacted origin support and they said that it can't be be played with a Ryzen 5600x. I want to play. Should I purchase through steam or am I wasting time. Thx all!

Just buy it through steam if you want less headache. The origin version needs to be patched to transfer maps in game, play on community server, do anything. Official servers were taken down in 2014. Since 2014 cnc-online.net has taken over. You just need to register and download the launcher to play online again.

At the current time it's for kane's wrath with a focus on 1.02+ multiplayer (hence why the community patch includes even more patched assets). Tiberium Wars isn't my game, I made this for Kane's Wrath. It needed it more due to shader changes between the two games among other things.

Tienes razon. Para la version española olvide a incluir el cambio para el archivo ¨CNC3EP1_spanish_1.2.SkuDef¨. Hoy voy a actualizar el instalador para arreglar eso. De momento solo hace falta abrir ese .skudef y pone encima de todo ¨try-add-config 4KMod\config.txt¨, tan como los otros idiomas que hay alli. Disculpe.

Make sure you run the game once before installing this, as the registry will be generated on first run. Also if its origin ultimate collection version you may have to use medstars patch to fix it. Steam should be fine. If its english language itll work fine too I support most languages but if youre using something else let me know.

R18 maps have extra's, every other map will still load the 4k assets but for all the features R18 maps are necessary. The reason being I can patch a mod map without it being a "different" version of the game.

i have the standard mod installed with all of the features enabled. went into several dark maps like redzone rampage and the hammerheads and command post do not emit lights. not sure if this is compatible with the 60fps mod. edit: i confirmed it was not showing those additional textures even with the 60fps mod disabled. how do you guys play this game? surely you dont play at the disgusting 30fps. i use the wrath mod app to launch the fps mod but want to see the features you have added to confirm the 4k mod is working. i am also able to pull up the shade with home key so it must be working but idk

Those things work on the 1.02+ R18 maps. You can get the 1.02+ R18 map packs from cgf-uploads.net/downloads (via command post app). They are what everybody uses online to play , as they fix many bugs and address minor balance issues. I essentially patched those maps to include more features as that would maintain compatibility online. You can play on those maps in skirmish once installed, even with that 60fps mod. Reinstall the 4k add on after installing the map packs, as his installer disables the 4k add on. Doing it through command post will be better as it’ll not disable anything. Basicallly install the map packs first, then the 4k add on afterwards if the 1.02+ map packs arent downloaded through command post.

This game also has speed scrolling, which is by far the best scrolling mechanic of any rts game. I'd rather have that than 60fps and horrible controls. In all seriousness, it does not matter. Especially if you disable vsync with the tutorial I made in this video, as that contributed to micro stuttering and increased input lag in modern versions of Windows.

KW not support good mods , so make your 4k addon to TW version it will be useful

This is to make the vanilla game better. It's compatible with vanilla and even works online against players who do not have it installed. Mods use their own assets and therefore wont work with this. This is to enhance 1.02, add features to 1.02+ map packs while patching them, and work with unofficial patch 1.03.

@@masterleafcnc i still prefer TW cant imagine to see this mod with redhistory mod or firestorm or fallout mod anyway if you have method to make tw redhistory mod into kw that would be great

I did all of them still 30fps, I see the mod is installed but it doesn't work.
