Keep practicing, you will get the hang of it eventually. Focus on tiberium first, two refineries and a war factory first to make two more harvesters, two for each refinery, and turret defences on the perimeter. Once harvesters are made, and more funding coming in, focus on getting all tech buildings, comms, and upgrades. Continue to build turrets, AA, and some light units, and focus on capturing a second tib field using a surveyor from the defense menu. Get it in position and have a refinery and turret and/or AA (needs second MCV to double que defences) queued up so you can place it down instantly when the surveyor dispatches. Place them and then you can focus on producing big units.
