Command & Conquer (C&C) is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game franchise, first developed by Westwood Studios. The first game was one of the earliest of the RTS genre, itself based on Westwood Studios' influential strategy game Dune II and introducing trademarks followed in the rest of the series. This includes full-motion video cutscenes with a notable ensemble cast to progress the story, as opposed to digitally in-game rendered cutscenes. Westwood Studios was taken over by Electronic Arts in 1998 and closed down in 2003. The studio and some of its members were absorbed into EA Los Angeles, which continued development on the series

Well, yuri nation in red alert yuri revenge was too op. Its easy to win if u choose choose yuri vs 7 brutal computer. Take control of the enemy, convert it to money, repeat, and create massive army while doing that.

I don’t think I could decide between generals and red alert 2. I like generals for the more realistic weaponry (besides the few that were futuristic ish like that double barrel Chinese tank and particle cannon) but red alerts story and alternate history really got me.

Tiberian Sun was the second RTS game I ever played. This was back in the late 90s, when I was eight years old and my father and I were just getting into PC gaming. So many happy childhood memories. I'm really hoping that C&C will make a comeback one day.

C&C, along with The Stronghold series from Firefly will always hold a near and dear place in my heart. They were played by me and my late grandfather many years before his passing. The best RTS franchises to ever exist. The music, fluidity, units, and base construction were perfection. It's such a shame EA didn't care about their fan base. Awesome video, man!

Am I the only one who LOVED RA3? The game was really fun to play and damn! the music. Of course, you have the classics like this epic remix of the hell march, but there was so many other cool tracks, like the soviet march of the menu with its russian chores etc. Love the soundtrack of all games, but RA3 really had tons of diversity. I can still remember most of the songs of the campaign as they all had a strong identity (Europe, New York, etc.). And the music of the rising sun were so enjoyable as well... Remember crushing ennemy bases with the Shogun Executioner with the epic track in the background... You can check also "mecha storm", which has a very nice build up. Really underrated.

Personally I hated they got rid of Yuri as much as I like the Japanese the music in the game was far too annoying and yeah not a fan of the Japanese anime with the high pitched screaming girls, I get it they wear really short skirts as part of their school uniform but do they have to destroy my ears. Also it's too cartoony for me, I grew up a teenager playing Tiberian Sun and when Hassan gets his throat slashed by Anton Slavik that was awesome, what sealed the deal for me was when CABAL, Kanes Ai turned on everyone. For me there hasn't been a single villain in any other game so far for me that matches the evil of CABAL, If your a human you're either soon to be made into a cyborg by him and his armies or you are killed by them. The only other villains that come close to me would be Morgoth and Sauron though that's Tolkien lore and no not that trash recently made by Amazon.

After 5-10 minutes of watching a movie or playing a game, you already stop getting excited about the effects and the graphics and and really understand if it's good or not. If the game is good, it will be good even if 20 years pass, just like a good movie that I can keep watching it again and again.

It all went downhill after Westwood sold the franchise to EA... sad day that was. I still remember the day I 1st got C&C back in 1995. I'd played the 3 demo levels into the ground and finally had the full game, that immersive install process blew my 11yo mind to bits & to this day no one has done it like Westwood did. I still have my original big boxes from C&C & red alert & RA2 & Tiberian sun + expansions for all. Great times, thanks zoom3000 for the nostalgia trip 😁👍👏

westwood did not sell by choice they were forced to when they started losing money EA at the time promised to stay true to the lore as they had with companies since they did not and this caused the games that came after to be worse and worse some were good some were not but after all the companies they have taken over and ruined what did you expect EA dont care about the players only the money they make so we get crap games their is hope with a few games though that the companies that loved them are starting to make a comeback in that even new people that loved the old games are joining the teams for the future and this does give us some hope of better games to come

Actually theres a lot of fans who really like EA LA (westwood under EA)'s Command and Conquer games. Red alert 2 and tiberian sun are absolute classic fan favorites and Generals Tib wars and Red alert 3 have their following as well. its important to remember that for a grand majority of the CNC franchise its been under ea, and only recently (recently as in the last 10ish years) has it gone down hill compared to what is arguably the golden age of cnc.

@@KuaG12 Everyone have their own opinion but all of them are great dude, i still play Tiberium Wars (Not 4th), Red Alert and Generals and also Dune 2000 and The Lord Of The Rings Battle For Middle Earth their all classics. I love all of them, i grew up playing the first game on the playstation version with a playstation 2 system and it still the best first game I ever played (my opinion about the game)

This is the only game back there, which make me forget about day and night. Played inside bedroom, windows closed, just stop for minutes to get some food and took a bath. And I still playing now RA2 + YR with those mods. Never aged.

for some reason Red alert 2 just looks so pleasing on the eyes, its very comfortable to look at and also makes everything on the screen very clear and recognizable

Despite what many people might think I actually really liked Red Alert 3, thought it was a good game and did a good job capturing the essence of red alert. Meaning crazy and somewhat unrealistic units, intentionally cheesy but hilarious cutscenes, and just a really fun atmosphere.

Have you played tiberium dawn 3? I liked it much better especially playing as the alien scrin. You could upgrade your walker tripods to shields combine them with buzzer drones and then bring in a mothership and planatery assualt carriers to decimate just about anything.

These games were way ahead of their time. The fist few gave me vibes of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. And then the later newer RTS command and conquer games reminded me of Star Wars Empire At War. Still great games. Haven't played command and conquer yet but I thought about buying them at we point.
