If you both pressed the Select button at the same time you would become allies and couldn't kill each other lol. Use to play this on link up for hours.

It is impressive how amazing was the 90's games generation... Saturn, PsOne, PC, N64... Holy cow! There are massive classics games out there. Command Conquer, Doom, Tomb Raider, Rockman, NFS, Crash Bandicoot etc and etc x15...

Yeah, I've played it back in 98, also via link cable. It was a great times, especially when unloading a transport with MAD tanks surprise to the base of your friend when he attacking my own base. Also we played versus each other on MAP47 with only one unit, and searched for crates to get units and goodies.

Old C&C works well on a console being that you could only use one construction yard at a time and the same goes for barracks and other units. I played the ever living crap outta this game on the PS1 back in the day as a kid and still pop it in now.

I remember playing this game when i was a kid, what great game... I spent hours just ignoreing the enemies and just seeing big i can get my base and then make more of them, then when i got bored i just sent my enitire hordes of tanks and wipe the other colors of the map. Listening to all those sound effects at once was so satisfying...

Things I used to do against the computer when I was a kid: 1- Bring my engineers and steal the enemies main building, vehicles building, and soldiers building, making myself own the technology and units of both Allies & Soviets 2- kill everything in the map and leave only 1 thing alive and then go on a quest to find the random treasure chests that appear on the map until it no longer spawns. Sometimes I take the risk and sell EVERY building i have and then go on a suicide mission to the others, if I live I go to find a treasure box while I have no buildings, it will have a guaranteed vehicle that transforms into the main building. 3- While controling Soviet army, I kill everything except one enemy main base. Then build Tesla towers around the enemy building sourrounding it like a square, and then another square around the square, forming around 30 or 40 Teslas. Then start selling my power buildings until the power reaches yellow, then order ALL the Teslas to attack the building. Then build 1 power building and the power reaches green...the sound and animation of 40 Teslas attacking at the exact moment is a thing of beauty! And poor units that walk out of the destroyed building... Did you do any of those?

I did a couple of them, but not the Tesla thing. That is cruel and unsusal....I love it! I will definitely do that one the next time I boot the game up and play a skirmish

If y'all didn't know, this game supported the Link Cable, a setup that enabled two Playstations to link up for 1v1 battles, pretty cool and really rare apparently. Anyways, me and my friends would have two tvs back to back playing this on the link cable, hours of building and back in forth skirmishes

@sanEEEzi Well, I have no idea what stores you have that may sell it. Try the smaller second hand stores. Pawn Shops, and whatnot. Are there any stores that exclusively sell games? Other than that, I'm really not sure where else you'd be able to find this game. I do know that in America EA has released a set called Command and Conquer: The First Decade for the PC. It has the PC version of this, and all the old C&C games on it.

New "AAA" RTS games are scarce on PC too these days. You got Total War series but those are considered "RTT" aka real time tactics rather than traditional base-building RTS.

The only thing i'm concerned with is the 1 player vs. ai skirmish mode. Do they have that on the aforementioned expansion packs? I really got hooked back in the day. I gotta figure out how to run it on vista 64. The procedures i've seen look like a pain. Thanks for the info...
