On an interesting side note: When you beat this mission, you unlock the original behind-the-scenes version of the opening cutscene. Now, after all these years, we can all finally find out what Commander Carter was really trying to say.

I love how the tone of this mission completely changes with the track, this song sounds ominous, scary, like every step counts... playing this level to Just Do It up sounds like you're there to kick ass and the base made a huge mistake building itself there.

This mission is broken, sometime when you blow up a SAM site , ennemies (1 or 2) spawn after the explosion. This is very frustrating because this is purely RNG, took me a dozen tries to get this one for the video.

I keep getting enemies in the first 2 SAM sites, so I'm half dead before I even cross the river

Nice one buddy, I was getting injured on every SAM SIte destruction and the rng bad guys was painful. I was also massively over complicating the mission.

You blew the wrong structure, lol Also, a tip to avoid the sam site survivors. when the structure flashes, it means C4 is planted, order the commando to move AWAY, and often enough he'll be able to avoid being shot even if trooper pops out. Another thing that i Do that is cheesing the game HARD: if you do happen to aggro the Buggies and light tanks, take the commando back to the first island (becareful to not wander into a sam site), the Nod Vehicles will be unable to cross, and pile up on the shore of the river, the commando outranges all nod vehicles present, so you can plink them to death with his sniper rifle (jack the game to fastest to accelerate that)

YOLO for the wrong building (I know that you need to blow up the Airstrip to skip mission 7), I want to play every mission. Joke aside, it's almost impossible to avoid damage when units come from SAM site explosion, even if you move. Most of the time, they shoot before you can do anything and it's even worst when you face 2 soldiers. Thanks for the tips with the island, and thank you for your comment buddy !

If you blew up the Tiberium Reginery you do not skip the next mission but it is a cakewalk because Nod do not have any incoming and is not building a new refinery.

This mission is so stupid. You're not even told what you're meant to be doing and once the buggies and tanks has seen you once, they IMMEDIATELY know where you are thereafter and rush towards you as soon as you get out of the chopper. I would never have figured oout that I'm meant to land right next to anti-air and taking damage. But apparently so, because it's not possible to go through the normal entrance because there is soldier there and once you kill him a mob will go after you.

If you destroy the airstrip it does open up the next three missions, but you still need to do 7A on hard for the Steam achievement. I found destroying the NOD refinery the most crippling to the enemy for the next mission as NOD will not have the resources to spam your base with troops and you only need 2 guard towers, having more credits which will be needed to take control over the NOD base quicker.

Correct, depending on your playstyle you can instead destroy the barrack or the airstrip to relieve some pressure from the NOD base.

I hated this damn mission. In order to skip the next mission you had to destroy the airfield.

The Mission after this is a nightmare. Hard mode is gona kick my ass once i get there myself. Nicely fought.

Find the Airfield and destroy it in this mission. You skip the next mission.

@@RealEnerjak Or blow up the refinery, kinda hard for the Ai to do anything without any credits, and since they start without the building, instead of counting it as a destroyed for the Ai, they never build a refinery at all.

Guys I found it! Instead of blowing up that last Sam site, you can just go further down and blow up power plant - it ends mission instantly and my havoc died because he got shot by power plant soldier

In fact, if you blow up any building, the mission will end.

This mission is actually real easy if you just follow the video and do exactly the same path with the commando and helicopter transport. SAM sites may have operators or guards left over after you destroy them, whom will injure your commando. Go quickly to avoid the roving buggy and large group of troops sent after you. My commando died when I blew up the power plant, since I was low on health from being jumped after blowing up 2 silos, but I still got mission accomplished and 100% efficiency.
