Command and conquer Tiberian War: Ion Shock is a mod for C&C Tiberian Sun, currently under developing by MirceaOfRivia. The mod allows for a gaming experience with "Scrin" faction from Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. The mod includes an enhanced gaming experience as well as new graphics.
This mod based on the game Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun is a real-time strategy video game developed by Westwood Studios and released in 1999. The main storyline follows the second major war between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) of the United Nations, and the global terrorist organization known as the Brotherhood of Nod. The story takes place 30 years after the GDI had won the First Tiberium War in Command & Conquer.

I wonder how 3 wouldve looked under Westwoods direction. Probably even more dire and alien than this one. 3 feels so different at times. Especially as all the fauna and flora of tiberium is gone

I love how it looks, though I agree with what others have said, Scrin units are kinda hard to see, but other than that it's great. That giant Tiberium cluster in the middle looks specially amazing.

Well this is a very old version of the mod. Today it looks less nice because it was ported from Tiberian Sun to Yuri's Revenge, however ANK studios is working hard to add back all of the cool visual effects. The Tiberian Sun version is no longer public, so unless someone manages to leak it, you can only play the Yuri's Revenge version.

Yes, the truth is that I thought about it during the recording, and in the editing I also raised the brightness a bit. On the other hand, I wanted to play "night". I could direct a game during the day. maybe next time

Ah I missed your GDI videos. I know it’s not your favorite faction to play, but I always love their brute force play style. Their mechs like titans and juggernauts, to the mammoth tank. GDI is a joy to watch and play.

Nod for life. The Scrin? They're like a blend of Zerg and Protoss yet not exactly. They're more like the bugs of Klendathu from Starship Troopers (book and movie versions) mixed with the cephs from CRYSIS 1, yet that comparison does them no justice, as they're just too diverse to be categorized. We have no idea what they actually look like, as it's most likely all of their vehicles, some of their "infantry" and their aircraft are cyber/biomechanical drones. GDI? Lol. Kane indoctrinated me as a kid in 1995 when I played the first game as an 8 year old. I HATE GDI.

Awesome, but can't they add attack move with aggressive stance so they also attack buildings? One reason I love OpenRA is the new gameplaymechanics, having to attack every single building individually gets tedious, even in RA2 IMO

In principle you are right, the development of the mod has moved to Red Alert 2 game engine, but, this is an earlier unreleased version, which the developer himself sent me, which is still on the Tiberian Sun engine.

It looks incredible but I think the scin look way too dark lol. You would think they would make them glow a bit or something since they are infused with tiberium.

Looks awesome! How did you do this? must have taken you a lot of work to create Scrin units and structures on the old game. Also did you have your units capped? or did you intentionally make the Scrin units highly resilient to damage ?

Hi, I didn't create the mod of course, but a friend. Unfortunately, this project has now been abandoned, and maybe he will continue with it in the future. The way you placed your zone towers they were shooting mostly into the ground, that's why they did not make a big impact at all. In fact, they even destroyed one another lol (for example at 14:39)

this is stand alone easy to install ? because looks good and with some proper support/long range weaponry to siege or defend with in a tactical sense unlike the mods that focuses on 'preserving' that sense of 'hectic rabid brawling/combat' at the expense of strategic aspects

Как я хочу этот мод но с 3 рассами А щас играю в ionshock на red alert 2 нашел более свежую версию загрузили примерно 05.2024 и создаю карты красивые но в tiberian sun цвета более темные а кристаллы более яркие и освещение от них более красивое А твой друг щас работает на над ionshock? Если да то это замечательно, хорошо и успехов ему ну а если нет то просто успехов!)

I love these videos, but they demonstrate a general flaw in the design of C&C games. Anti-air is weak and air units have too much health, so you can use air units to snipe critical structures with minimal loss. A player could can kind of defend against air spam but the AI is too dumb. Then again I guess balancing this can be tricky if the game code doesn't use different armor types for types of units like modern RTS games do.

This is the first version on Tiberian Sun engine. Unfortunately it is not released yet, but on the other hand it is very similar to Warzone.

Ion Shock has since been moved over to Yuri's Revenge, and the old Tiberian Sun version is no longer in public access, sadly. Warzone is the replacement/separate development, with many features. It does lack Scrin, however, and there are significantly fewer maps. But what it has implemented, feels like everything Tiberium Wars could have been. Superweapons are...truly horrifying, unlike in the mod showcased here.

Is it a typo on the mod page? It claims to be a mod for Yuri's Revenge, yet everything in your video looks and sounds like its a mod for the Tiberian Sun: Warzone mod. The graphics, not to mention the sidebar is totally TibSun instead of YR. What gives? '=) Regardless, it does look awesome overall! Aside from the units being a bit hard to see because their color palette is so dark, the Scrin were really well translated to 2D graphics.

Nope, not a typo. Zoom3000 has a very old, no longer public version of Ion Shock that was first being developed on Tiberian Sun, however due to engine limitations it was moved to the Yuri's Revenge engine.

Mammoth tank (Aka Mastodon) is useless, it doesnt have enough firepower, OG mammoth mk2 was far superior, also tripod is far too tanky than it should be
