So, while there's nothing in the canon to clarify if Grunn and Kibo are related... they both live on Dominaria. However, Grunn lives off to the East, on Yavimaya, while Kibo is near Zhalfir, which is way on the other side of Dominaria. It's technically possible, although not very likely even if you move past the whole ape vs monkey aspect. Also, Ben Brode Commander damage counter is NEEDED.
