In Japanese, the kanji for “tree” is 木 and the kanji for “forest” is 森 which is just three trees. So Japan has decided, you need three trees to make a forest.
@catgirlQueer13 сағат бұрын
but two trees make a grove / small group of trees! it's 木, 林, 森
@Genshboy13 сағат бұрын
Just that the Japanese didn't decide that because it was an import from China. It's the same in Chinese where the Kanji or rather Hanzi have originated.
@Necroskull38810 сағат бұрын
@@Genshboy "Kanji" in Japanese is spelled with the characters for "Chinese" and "Character", so I'm well aware of that. When I say this in the context of Japanese, I'm not saying that because I think it's unique to Japan, but because I learned Japanese, not Mandarin or Cantonese.
@Genshboy4 сағат бұрын
@@Necroskull388 Sorry, I maybe just came of as a little passive aggressive but I was just refering to Japan deciding, which I think didn´t really happen but rather it was adapted as is.

@32:50 Spice stops to explain how Coat of Arms works, but explains it wrong. Coat of Arms effectively gives each creature +1/+1 for each other creature that shares at least 1 type with it. 2 Goblin Wizards would each only give each other +1/+1, but a Goblin Wizard, a Goblin Rogue, and a Human Wizard would give +2/+2 to the Goblin Wizard and +1/+1 to each of the Goblin Rogue and the Human Wizard.

I'm sure other people said this already, but I googled it and at least in the US a "forest" is a space of an acre with at least 10% of the land covered by the tree canopy. So in theory, if you had two REALLY BIG trees it would be a forest lol
@Stevetr0n11 сағат бұрын
That is one of the qualifiers, but according to the USFS no land considered a forest can have any activities preventing tree regeneration or succession. So even mowing that acre would disqualify it.
