It was my fault. I accidentally deleted my audacity recording so we had to use my OBS recording, which recorded all our audio together, which made our normal audio cleanup impossible.

The audio wasn't as bad, what is so disappointing is MTGO crashing every single game. I love commander clash, but if modo keeps messing the endings you maybe should talk about changing client or something

There shouldn't be a single complaint about this game(s) at all. This whole episode was spectacular and represents so much of what commander can be, massive game changing plays and craziness. Also please bring DJ back again. His enthusiasm for big crazy plays made this episode fun to watch.

There were no complaints about the game. There were complaints about the audio. Also I didn't notice much of the enthusiasm you speak of. DJ said almost nothing the entire first half.

audio wasn't as bad as I expected and 6 Drop Tribal is probably my favorite Commander Clash deck.

Should have used Keruga as companion through; also in those Tasigur's colors and restriction is also fulfilled automatically by 6-drop tribal (all nonlands need to be 3cmc or greater). Gyruda only gives you one card of card advantage whereas Keruga can give you much, much more!

@@Khazuki_ Eh, Lurrus required you to have a deck of 2-or-less drops while costing 3 itself; companions are sometimes outside of their own deckbuilding restrictions, since (important note) they are not part of the deck itself. So you can still have an 'all-6cmc deck' without changing that by having a 5cmc companion, since the companion is explicitly not part of the deck.

Something I have learned about commander. Sometimes having no easy win condition can be more cruel than kind. Players don't want the game to be dragged too long, but there's always a part of them that will fight to the bitter end so it might seem better. Mostly though players really just want lose in a cool way and then play another rather than play a lopsided game where one player is winning so badly, but doesn't actually win.

Regarding the discussion of the khans and Ikoria names for the color combos: they are the same colors, but the focus is different. I.e. Zagoth and Sultai are both BUG, but Zagoth is green focused (see Mythos of Brokkos) and Sultai is black focused (see Tasigur).

I liked how this time everyone was really playing and talking about plays. The problem with this season, in my opinion, is that with rotating guests the game turns sometimes into a podcast/interview discussing personal things that are of no interest to me and the game just rolls in the background. I love the game, and this episode was great :)

In another thread Tomer admitted that his Audacity recording has been lost for this episode, so we can assume that it's not possible to individually lower the volume of DJ without delaying the episode.
