I love how Jim got into EDH partly because he wanted to play Shield Sphere instead of Ornithopter in his Master Transmuter deck. That’s a very EDH player thing to do. Great and entertaining episode!

Love this as a long time viewer of both channels pre-rebrand and indeed pre spike feeders logo! Even more so due to the fact in the last month I've made the first baby steps with my playgroup of recording commander content for twitch, youtube and podcasting and having an absolute blast diving into the world of content creation! This episode was super insightful, thanks sensei!

A very interesting discussion! I feel the need to chime in, as us opinionated Magic players do, on the Walking Dead and upcoming crossover stuff. I don't mind it, as a concept. I probably wouldn't buy it, personally, but that's just the Vorthos in me rearing its head. I don't hate them on principle, is the point. I am quite worried that they will force players like me to choose between power or immersion though, as Wizards have shown time and again that they are more than comfortable with abusing overly pushed cards to boost sales. Not saying any one thing they do will kill Magic, not outright. I don't think they could even if they tried. But... Enough drops of water make an ocean. Wizards is aggressively toeing the threshold between what a lot of players can and can't accept, what won't and what will ruin the game for them, and mainly through pushing cards, so people will have to choose between either adopting the new stuff, be it in or out of universe, or having a consistently worse time of it, because the new stuff always being better, either by increments or by leaps and bounds, as we saw with Korvold and Chulane. It's a big worry for me, at least, and I don't think that I'm alone in it.
