​@@mrdjuggernaut Godo cost one less because of the red medallion in play. SO mana geyser adds 9. Godo costs 5, he has one untapped mountain...uses the 4 left over plus the untap land and equips helm...math seems right. they didnt just auto equip, they did the math on available mana.

this was hilarious. So Cory built a janky mono black tutor tribal, with nothing to tutor for. Jon some azorious thing, not sure... Jeremy built an 8 mana commander deck and then Steven goes "hold my beer" and whips out his cEDH deck that he tuned down slightly... still won turn 4 or 5 though. this was very unbalanced but very fun.

Mana geysers made 9 mana, with the ruby medallion reducing godo's casting cost that's enough left over to attach helm.

It is 2 attackers each time. Godo's ability causes it to untap the first time it attacks each turn. Each Godo token gets to attack twice. Or it can be 1 attacker each time, then send an army of Godo's in for the last attack.

Is it just me, I know everyone has mentioned about how the game played out but Godo doesn't have haste so how could he attack? To start the loop, unless I missed something?

The token Helm makes has haste.

To expand a bit, when Good has Helm equipped, at the start of Combat you create a non-Legendary copy of Godo that has haste. You get a new ETB to tutor an equipment for the copy. When the copy attacks, he triggers and untaps and creates another combat step. On this new (2nd) combat you will make another copy with ETB and untap trigger, and can attack with both copies. This just keeps going, so unless you have a Propaganda or 2 indestructible blockers.....

Helm of the Host doesn’t auto equip. You need 11 mana for the combo, not 6.

Hammer of Nazahn auto-equips an equipment as it enters the battlefield. So in that instance, he only needed 6 mana for Godo and Nazahn did the rest.

I think it’s because he killed Jeremy first that aura he enchanted Stephen’s hydra with left play and it lost indestructible.

Helm of the Host generates a Godo token every combat, so while Stephen can block 1 Godo, he won't be able to block the rest.

When Jeremy dies, Darksteel Mutation goes away. Also since each copy of Godo can attack in two combat steps, Cory should have two copies attacking each combat and Stephen can only block one..

Really like this episode so people can see how lame combos like this do make games of commander. Its not funny or interesting to sit down at a casual table with a win con like this, and anyone can brew a deck with this kind of combo in it. cEDH is a fine format for some, keep it there.

Godo didn't gave trample to kill Stephen if he just blocked with his insect. Would have only given him one turn but its better than nothing. Lol

He was dead, blocks or not. If the insect had 3 power to kill each extra godo it would have worked. First godo is made, attacks, is blocked. Second godo is made, both of them attack, block the first one, but the second one gets in damage. Repeat infinite times.

It was no longer an Insect. Jeremy was dead so his enchantment falls off it was back to being a Mana Gorger Hyrda with one counter on it and no longer had indestructible.
