“Commander Of The Lord’s Army” 07/10/2024 The Heart Of God For The Nations - Daily Scripture

Joshua‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.”
PRAYER/THOUGHTS:
Jesus, You are the Commander of the Lord’s army! That is one of Your titles! What a sight for Joshua to see You in that role with Your sword drawn! What is there that can be compared to You? “Are You for us or our adversaries?” You are not on either side because You are outside the conflicts, the arguments, the groups, the battles, and the struggles of this world. You are God! You are the Judge! You see everything and You know everything. You are very much aware of the righteous & the wicked. To think that You, the God Who created the universe, laid down Your sword, came into a human body, and experienced pain, humiliation, and death to save us, sinners, who have consistently forgotten, rejected, and rebelled against You! Nothing, not even death, can defeat You and nothing can change the Love You have for us! I hope that we would be like Joshua. That we would recognize Your authority, power, and love, Jesus! May we reverence You and worship You, not for what we can get from You, but for Who You are, the Commander of the Lord’s army!
