@@Big_Dai Same. I will never like these. The old intros were unique and fun to watch. Felt like friends getting together and playing and shooting the breeze. These are just carbon copies of what Game Knights and a bunch of other generic MTG channels do....which I hate. And like you said, it clashes with the usual vibe they have. It’s just bad, and no amount of practice and “getting it right” is gonna make them not bad.

I like games with difficult choices. With Jon and Stephen playing alternate strategies, it made the game feel different and interesting choices. Also the flexes are so good, deck building restrictions are fun. I appreciate the heck out of you guys, bringing joy every Wednesday. You should play some commanders that you can play dropping a color, that seems super interesting.

Hey guys! I realize that since the season has started, you probably already have something in mind for the Susan Sarandom or Randharmonicon or Randomonium or Arena of the Arbitrary , but I built this thing, inspired by Stephen Green’s Jumpstart Commander idea that I call the “Jumpmander Cubething.” It consists of the original 15 Partner commanders, plus 5 new ones, pre-built, but missing 7 cards each, which are then filled in at each player’s discretion, using cards from a pre-built “group sideboard,” which basically contains mana rocks, utility spells and multi-lands. This is so that no matter what 2 half decks you get, you don’t end up with 2 Sol Rings or Kodama’s Reaches or whatever. It also allows for a bit of customization of the mana base, given that you could end up with a 4-color deck or a 2-color deck. They are built to sort of toe the line between synergizing with their Commander, but still being generically good enough to not be a total dud when partnered randomly with any of the others. So, the idea is to randomly select two of the half decks, use the “sideboard” to customize and complete your deck and then smash them together like a Jumpstart Commander game. From the latin 'loqui' meaning 'to speak' the same root which the word eloquent come from. Will admit it looked like a wizard forcing words together like they normally do though. But yeah even if wizard wasn't the one to, looking it up eloquent predates grandiloquent by about 200 years. So it is still likely that grandiloquent was made using the word eloquent as a base.

I’ve made a deck of Sakashima and Kodama, it’s probably too combo ish for these guys tho, it goes infinite with bounce lands and landfall token triggers, also full of soratami cards that let you pay and return a land to hand for an ability like bounce creatures, draw cards, counterspells, once you make this cheaper with Biomancers familiar or get a mana doubler any land can be used as you can play it, tap it to add mana to activate ability and return it to hand to put in with kodama ability. Sakashima just lets you have 2 kodamas as they each trigger separately so don’t need the landfall tokens for that.
