To answer Crim's question: In the early days of Battlebots (early 2000s), Bill Nye was the show's science correspondent showing all the internal workings of the machines and their plans to destroy the opposition. Nowadays, the technology is much more uniform, with organizations like Team Whyachi and SendCutSend manufacturing the parts out of tank-grade steel and sometimes even titanium for use on the robots. Also, Olivia: The robots are by no ways small. They weigh at most 250 lbs, and if you robot can walk, it weights up to 500 lbs. There are separate events for smaller weight classes, such as 3lb and 12lb, but the normal weight for the Battlebots TV show is 250 lbs.

There was an ultra lite competition in San Francisco (Battlebots was hosted on Treasure island in SF) called Soz Bots. Bots would weigh 1lb or less. However, they also allowed flamethrowers and more dangerous weapons.

There are more than these but these are the most common! 3lbs and under are usually the most popular, for obvious reasons. Fairyweight: 150g Antweight: 1lbs Beetleweight: 3lbs Hobbyweight: 12lbs Featherweight: 30lbs Organizations like National Havoc Robotics League (NHRL) do competitions all over the USA (tho based in Norwalk, CT). These competitions are streamed on KZbin and you can find their previous events on their KZbin channel. They also make it extremely accessible to anyone looking to get involved!

He didn't have as much power on board, but the effects would cripple her, and she wouldn't be able to deal with most of the attacks. It's a lose-lose, she even said so in the video.

Starteded watching out of habit not knowing who guests were, thrilled to see Crim, loved the early smeagol voices! Literally too many quotable moments in an epic game! Something about the nut, Olivia's reactions to smeagol voices, Crim being Crim, Brian playing the same turn over and over... If somehow you guys could upload more frequently, we all would love that, but also totally respect the work that takes for games that repeat Brian's turn multiple times while presenting a win.

The boardstate was a bit confusing but I think Derik missed lethal. Bryan had 2 blockers, so swing with uro and both the 5/3 elementals, Bryan blocks Uro and one elemental, double the unblocked one to 10 damage

Plus, Derik missed 2 Zombies from Field of the Dead one turn prior. He brought back field with Titania then played an island with Crucible and another land with Uro and made no zombie. He should have been at 6 zombies token during his turn, 3 of them could have attacked, helping getting lethal

Editor is amazingly skilled! I love how Eilidh Lonie zoomed in on Olivia after she says Cheaties lol at 38:48 when Crim forgot to discard to hand size . She did a simple mistake the turn prior after cyclonic Rift and forgot to discard down to seven. We all do it. Especially after your whole board gets bounced at the end of the turn. The edit was chief's kiss after she did the cute voice lol.

I loved this! A couple of months ago at Geeky Teas (my LGS), we had a Commander game that went for over 3 hours-- there were so many boardwipes. I don't even remember who won, but it was so much fun! Two of us were playing Demon decks, and we kept resurrecting the same creatures over and over again.

Another hilarious episode! I think Crim brings out the best in Olivia lmao. The looks she has when he's doing ridiculous stuff is just great like "dude i just wanted to play some stupid cars, and you're doing this bs." 😂 In all seriousness, i really enjoy seeing the table be loose and silly like this. I have zero idea how the real interpersonal relationships are , but the table relationship in games like this one are immaculate. Yes the game was weird, yes people didn't even get to see everyone do their thing (sorry Derick and Olivia), but the table was laughing, cracking up at the absurdity of it all. So thanks for the laughs today and another great episode. I hope you had as much fun playing it as i did watching it. Ps- big shout out to Brian for the Smeagol voice and even getting Olivia to do it once which caused her to pause and actively reflect on life for a moment there. It was hilarious!

I love how at multiple times during the game if you just watch Olivia face, you can tell in her head she is actively trying to talk herself out of choosing violence. Especially during the Smeagol voice there were a few times she had look like if you don't stop I'm going beat you to death with one of those trophies. Also Sheoldred, is totally rolling up in a blacked out Rolls Royce Phantom.

I love Olivias deck! But I would like to point out that while Drumbellower is a sick card (and was printed in a vehicle precon!) it is not a triggered ability (and thus doesn't use the stack), and there is no priority check during the upkeep to allow you to crew a vehicle before untap. HUGE flavor fail of the card, but there is no way to untap your vehicles with Drumbellower with the way it is designed.

Can't you crew them during end step so it stays crewed until the next end step and you do untap all your creature (thus vehicule) during opponent untap step ?

I play Hoard Hauler in my Prosper EDH deck! love that car. It's just a big enough attacker that people don't often want to block with enough to block the trample and then they get hit and I tend to make a couple of treasures each time thanks to a Sol Ring or couple of Signets.

Olivia isn’t physically allowed to crew for the untap step to have her creatures untap. The untap step is not actually a step and you can’t take any actions during it, if you don’t believe me then check rule 502.4

I play Hoard Hauler a lot in my group, huge vehicle fan and Ive used it in lists ranging from Depala, Magda, Elsha and even a Toggo/Keskit deck I had for a bit there. Its a fun add even if situational!
