We knew he was making moves when he hired analytics guru Eugene Shen. I suspected he was working behind the scenes with planned hiring(s) even with the appearance nothing was being done with coaches (why muddy the water placing an interim HC that would be fired when new GM comes on board because no one was going to fix this dumpster fire). High enough up, a sports franchise is a business and have things in common, like the bottom line and franchise integrity, why not bring in someone good at it in a different sport. He is acknowledging his limited understanding of running a football franchise and how bad the franchise is at this point; it will take a GM that knows what they are doing and a HC that is innovative so he is surrounding himself with the people who can help find those people. I'm impressed and psyched and it is refreshing.

Dan was an owner with no clue how to run an NFL team and his Ego wouldn't allow ppl who have many years of experience to set up the organization just like Harris. Dan ran the team like his communication business. Not a football owner. All he knew how was to throw big money to veteran names but not think of the continuity aspect of gelling a team. He was enthralled to be the owner of his father and his childhood team. It gave him ego clout and abuse of power. So he ran the organization like a young rich boy getting a jet plane at 12. Never had any type of flying lesson so he can just sit in it and pretend. Now we have an owner with experience in how to build a winning organization. Welcome to the new Joash Harris era. First and foremost the players have to be held accountable I think BMitch said it best the players r grown men they are professionals so a coach shouldn't have to coach them up to be ready to play I look back on the 80's and 90's Ski ns those guys played together and wanted to win,you didn't hear much about $ back then those guys earned their $ and when the earned they played harder even some played hurt and still performed at a high level these young guys not all are soft ...tried of hearing culture play ball play together and play because u love the game the $ will come..coaches can do but so much...teach guys how to tackle ..the secondary have sucked for the last 12plus years

I thought coach Ron did a good job it just is going to take time to get good guys. Even since the Commanders got rid of that second string quarterback Heimaque they have been doing poorly. He did a good job for Commanders when he was the starting quarterback for the Commanders. The Commanders won a lot of games with him as quarterback. I forgotwhich team that picked him up.
