Everyone saying it wasn't Newton on the first play is tripping. It's clearly a #95 or #96 player. The only other player it could be is Jayln Holmes. He had two tackles in that game so it could be him, but I would have to look at the in depth stats. Edit: watching the film, Holmes normally lined up on the edge AND wore a white arm sleeve. Newton had a hand warmer on all game, so it's definitely him.

Matty, let me tell you what a great 👍 job breaking down players' efforts. I really didn't notice the impact he is having as a rookie DT. Just think if we put Johnny over the center with JA over the guard and DP. over the other guard with Fowler on 1 end and Ferrell on the other end. That should be our 5-man front. Especially for the playoffs!!! HAIL YEAH-HTTC

Tough criticism from several posters but your number of likes say otherwise. Generational talent talk is probably premature, but Newton looked sensational on these highlights. Keep grinding and stay humble. And if the critiques make sense, incorporate them. Otherwise, thank them (like you are doing) and keep it moving.

Bro you're reaching. Cherry picking a few clips of his mediocre season is so underwhelming. He isn't violent in any way, and doesn't generate pass rush. He a bust unless he improves in offseason.
@nathan-qx2ep18 күн бұрын
Ydkb 😂😂 he’s a day 1 rookie starter drafted in the second round at only 22 years old. He’s already lived up to and exceeded his selection. And you don’t think give him just 3 years even with professional coaching/conditioning he wont get any better? Stop it
@RoBDeeZL4217 күн бұрын
@ its plenty of dudes that start, that dont mean they qualified as generational. He a early 2nd round pick, they almost traded back into the 1st for him. They said “i cannot believe you are still here”. And Newton really said “i know”. All he do is bullrush into doubleteams until the ball carrier run past him or the qb already has thrown it. If you have homer bias then you have homer bias. Hopefully next year he actually terrorizes. Right now sheldon day off the street making more plays than him.

"generational talent" on this guy is an *INSULT* to those who actually have *GENERATIONAL TALENT* but then again, these little youtube boys do whatever they can to get views and grow their little channels. I've seen every snap of this guy so far this year, and Im still waiting to see something...anything .......from this undersized and so far OVERdrafted guy (other than getting walked back 4 yards on every running play.)
