As a Lions sufferer for 6 decades, I agree. Everyone I know was SO hyped and SO confident. But based what I've experienced with this team I had a BAD feeling about the game and sadly it came true. I feel this was our Super Bowl window and it got slammed SHUT by the usual things: Turnovers, not getting crucial stops, stupid penalty at the worst time and one trick play gamble too many. I think some ppl need to put things in perspective. Lions scored 31 pts, enough to win the game, but the Redskins put up 45 pts on the road against the #1 seed. That is absolutely unheard of! While the Redskins D is not so great against the run, they made some very clutch defensive plays. Whether forced or just on poorly executed plays, the Redskins had 5 takeaways(Lions turnovers). When you get that from your defense, it allows for great opportunity for your offense to score points and win the game.
