My heart ached when that man said it I'm joining the army so I won't have to see my family killed by terrorists Or see a flag given to a mother saying their son is gone I can't stand seeing it and I want to end all of the fighting Starting by ending terror Which means killing all of isis I hate isis with a passion They are not Muslims The ignore the law of tolerance and use the other law for war to pillage for their personal interests The people in isis are degenerates

the raising of the flag on Io Jima was a memorable event but the fighting was far from over. A few of the men who raised the flag were KIA during the following days of the invasion. They will not be forgotten, nor will the rest of the troops who have served in the US Military.

Actually, no. The famous picture was taken as the 2nd flag was being set up, so the "real" flag raisers, the first ones, were not in the picture. Got it?

I'm am not going to be a murderer. I am going to join the army... I don't want to go into details, but people get killed in battle every day. All I meant was that every victory I had was going to be for my grandfather, who was an American soldier. And to get a victory, sometimes people get killed.... Plus, IF I go to war, my reason isn't going to be to kill people to ,it is going to be fight and help my country, The United States of America.

My grandpa served in W.W.2 my daddy served in the navy, my uncle in the army in V, My x husband served in the navy when all the Lebanon stuff happened. He was on the USS Trenton out of Norfolk Naval Air Station. Its hard being a military wife. I bless every day they all came home safe and sound. This video brought tears to my eyes and the song fit it perfect. Thank each and everyone that has served and is serving for keeping us safe in the land of the free.

pay respect to all troops. Not just US, bias gets us no where. Do you think the 15 year old Germans wanted to be Nazis? Or Japanese men wo had a family want to fight in the jungle? Or random Russians who were drafted by getting and gun and put on the fronts? How about the British, French, Poles, Italy, Etc? No most of the didn't, a lot came back with PTSD to find at the end Germany was cut in two, now half the families (that survived h+ll) can't see their son? Point being respect most men and women on both sides. ISIS is different.

@enterprisevsjapan8932 3 жыл бұрын
@@Korean_Crayon it's a video based on U.S marines at Iwo Jima so I get where you are coming from but it's not really the place for that comment but you do you. I can understand what you are saying regarding the respect for “all” soldiers on both sides but it's really difficult for me to give substantial sympathy for the Japanese or Germans, specifically their military traditions and horrific war crimes committed against civilians and military targets. Don't get me wrong, the average Joe in there who was forced to fight or was brainwashed I definitely empathize and sympathize with, but the overall military and cruel government they served I have no sympathy for. I am pretty sure you agree with me on that so I'm not calling you a nazi sympathizer or anything. Unpopular opinion: The Imperial Japanese were worse than Nazis in terms of war crimes and what they preached.

This is great. Very well done. I'm planning to go into the Marines in two years once I turn 18, so anything based around Iwo Jima was bound to catch my eye. Very well done once again.

When you were standing in the wake of devastation When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown And with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now You were there impossibly alone. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go. And in the burst of light that blinded every angel As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars You felt the gravity of temper grace falling into empty space No one there to catch you in their arms Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, Let it go Let it go Let it go Let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go.

You think you want to have been there, but you don't really. War fucks you up. You don't want to see your friends die, to watch as the life seeps from them and their eyes look to you for help but you know that there is nothing you can do to help. You don't want to kill someone, a soldier like you who has family and friends that will miss him and cry for him. A soldier that was just doing his duty like you. You don't want to cause collateral damage and know you killed innocent people who deserved to live out their lives. You don't want to think about the families of these innocent people and know you forever deprived them of someone they loved. You don't want to be maimed and have a limp for the rest of your life, or a pain in your back. You don't want to be paralysed and never be able to walk, stand up or even have children. You don't want to die. You don't want to leave your family forever and cause them so much pain. You don't want to end it forever and never be able to see your friends, read a book, kiss that girl you like or anything else. You do not want that. Be glad you didn't have to be there, be glad that these brave men took a gamble for any of these things to happen, and many of them lost, so that you don't have to. Be glad of the peaceful life you have.

VirUsT0xickitten Don't do it. You don't fight for freedom anymore and nor do you fight for the protection of your nation. You will go halfway around the world to fight an unwinnable battle to 'help' people who don't want it. You won't even be helping them, things will probably get worse. You will fight and kill and maybe die just so rich old men can get a little richer by selling weapons and extracting oil. Get out before another Iraq happens (probably also in Iraq) and you end up killing innocent people and destabilizing a region for nothing other than to make other people richer.

The ultimate goal of the american people is world peace. We will negotiate for it, pray for it and fight for it but we will never surrender for it, now or ever. We are so often told that the martyrs of history were the poor dying for the rich. I can attest, this is not to case. These martyr were not fools and most of them choose to pay the ultimate price to liberate those oppressed. We can never allow their sacrifices to be in vain. They created america which is the best hope on earth for free men and if we lose it, then we will take the first steps into a thousand years of darkness RONALD REAGAN - FREEDOM IS ONLY EVER ONE GENERATION AWAY FROM BEING LOST.

A letter from a soldier on the Europe front in the WW2 that read. "We Trained Together For Over Four Years, For Only To Lose More Than Half Of Us" that was from a letter from a man that took part in initial assault on the beaches of Normandy that 78% of the men fell in the first few hours of the battle.

Respect to the fallen... and those who fought for something they believed would change the world for the better... may their souls step forward to another plane of existence, and do the same good that they intended upon this world. They stood up and answered the call of duty not because it was right... but because they thought they would change this world. They were brainwashed... bred to be fed lies... those who wake up now, CAN change the world and succeed where countless others failed. ... It's time to let go of our failures... so that we can hope for a stronger future again.
