Event towers are not meant to be dps god towers. The commando rework did what it was supposed to and made the tower actually viable but not too overpowered

@@vettyyt2995 It doesn't need to be a god but at least a good dps tower. The only thing decent about commando is its ability. HD, and a single target damage buff wouldn't be anything too crazy.

@ a skin for it is based on the Star Wars commando, and the current version too (maybe idk) but the original version was based on the ror2 commando (some of the devs are ror2 fans probably because we also have loader brawler and railgunner ranger)

for anyone that doesnt know, the commando firerate on every level is actually higher than what it says, its not 0.5 on lvl 0 its between 0.3 and 0.2, do tests if you dont believe me

@@b.w.s3165It's just soldier + militant + minigunner if you use it perfectly, then it could do alot of dps. Mentioning that the missile can do pretty good dmg. Not exactly you should use it like dps but when you're struggling you could just use the missiles like stun and sub dps.

@ShadowDark66602 in what sense exactly? It doesn't have hid and flying detection like militant, it has no burst like soldier (something worse HOORAY) and it does no where near as much dps as minigunner. I'd really like to know how commando is similar to these 3 towers.

@@laisksjjsjs566 Okay basically yeah it's militant without hd ik but basically. it shoots the same 3 bullets(maybe more) as soldier mentioning that at some levels it gets close to the dps of a minigunner but not VERY close. And the missiles is literally mortar and e-shocker.

Commando seriously needs hidden detection. What's its role again? Oh right, crowd control, sub-DPS, and a ground tower that should generally be compatible with ranger. Yet, FOR SOME REASON, IT DOESN'T HAVE HIDDEN DETECTION. And don't tell me that the missiles can hit every type of enemy, because with fallen jesters around, you're gonna MISS, especially when you have to hit flying enemies DEAD-CENTER. Man, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the swarmer rework costs ~600 robux, the beehive grenade ability still doesn't stack, and then by default it only has flight detection despite being an early game tower, while its beehive grenade is its only way to attack lead enemies.

@@pu40xd Okay, so imagine the current loadout you have is crookboss for early game & sub-DPS, ranger for flying enemies & late game DPS, commander for the firerate boost, & electroshocker for stalling. For the 5th tower slot, why in the world should I get commando over minigunner, WHEN IT DOESN’T HAVE HIDDEN DETECTION. This is like the ONE TOWER that needs hidden detection for it to actually be useful, yet it doesn’t have it. At this point, use NECROMANCER instead. It’s also crowd control sub-DPS. It can help deal with the flying enemies, even if you already have ranger. And if its basic attack isn’t enough to deal with hidden enemies, you can just summon a bunch of skeletons to finish the job.

@@noideawhatnametopick715 I don’t care what they’re made for, they should at least be USABLE. Commando not being able to act as ground DPS because of its lack of HD is absurd. And let’s say you were to try to plan ahead for wave 33. You’d have to plant mines before the fallen summoner even comes out, and you’d have to make sure no other enemies stepped on the mines. With that said, how many mines would you need? At least 42. Each commando can only stock up on 4 missiles, & you have 8 commandos, so you’d only be able to stock up on 32 missiles. From there, you have to place 10 more missiles, and hope the previous 32 don’t vanish because of the 60 second time limit. That is literally more micro-heavy than all TDX towers, and it’s just to kill one enemy that turns hidden at half health. Just give the guy HD already.

@@Stories-ji7lz here’s the thing, slasher was free and brawler requires lvl 50+ and 1,250 gems. Also, slasher has 230 dps and brawler has 330 dps, however you can place double slashers than brawlers resulting in 2760 total dps for slasher and 1980 dps for brawler

@ just because it was free from an event whatever many years ago doesn’t help its case, especially for anyone who’s missed out on it. You have all the time in the world to get brawler and who knows when slasher goes for sale again. Brawler is a lot cheaper to place and has much better value, has knockback, reposition lets it go anywhere on the map, meanwhile slasher has no utility over than being dps. Another major thing as previously said, stun negation. Imo a pretty important thing to have when your range is only like 6… which it unfortunately lacks, unlike warden and brawler. Slasher simply isn’t that good when it comes to actually playing seriously.

also saying commando sucks bc of no hd and being mid to late isnt true at all. its like a speedrunner version of harvester and has 91 dps and bc of that you can get (im counting only 3 pierce) 227 dps which is decent but still good because you put every pierce tower on farthest
