Thought I'd rerun Commandos as PVZ3 is awaiting content £4.49 currently
on Steam but is often on sale for a lot less. Also on GOG.

Man, this game was a blast. It was really cool for Mimimi revitalized this genre. I just finished playing Desperados 3, and it's crazy to think they didn't really change the core gameplay that much 3 decades later.

Yeah I enjoyed Desperados 3, never played 1 or 2 much and never really got on with commandos 3. You gotta love bianca.

Ha classic! Me and my little brother still quote the green beret to this day! “Hey, you getting on to game?” “Oi’m comin’!” Or “Wish I could do that!” Or when things don’t look right “Alarm! Alarm!” This game is incredible. Also tons of fun to play multiplayer

I was addicted to this game, played for weeks, every single day until late at night. Found all the pieces of the maps/pictures. Killed every single enemy soldier. When finished, I never played again to avoid getting addicted again! 😅

This was a good watch. I loved this mission in the demo and later in the full game. I used to take out every enemy to drag out the enjoyment

Yeah I would clear the map. I have to balance out the fact the vids are for youtube so some short cuts must be taken. I have often trapped those patrols to death.

I had a 286 , 10gb hard drive never thought I would fill it. Had fifa 95 to get in-game commentary computer had to have a massive 4mega bites of ram

@crashzg yeah the first fifa. maybe I was thinking of a 486. The one where you could stand in front of the keeper whilst he hoofed the ball and head it in the net. FIFA International Soccer released 1993 (was fifa94) dos game. I remember updating my ram on the 286 30 pin dims maybe. I was always a Commodore 64 fanboy was dragged kicking and screaming to Pc but never looked back.

@@crashzg It probably was 10 meg hard drive. I know I had a compaq 286. I used to deliver to a lot of offices and tech and vaguely recall buying it from them. That got me into the pc bug. I also sourced one of the last Commodore Pets , the one with the detachable keyboard and a rounded screen. I had a couple of the double diskdrive units. Scrapped them I bet they are worth a few quid now. Them I bought a brand new not cheap 486 dx66 with wfwg 3.11 . I updated it up to an amd 133mghz even had voodoos in sli in that one. Or at least it think. It's all a long time ago so if any of that is incorrect I have slept a million times since then and thats my excuse lol.

@@themillerbear8178 when the game was out, it had only 256 colors. It was sort of an unique selling point. Before this game i realy liked Total Annihilation 🙂 Probably an inspiration for the devs of Commandos.

@@martijnb3381 There were some great games around that era, Aoe, cossacks, sudden strike. all age really well. I probably came to commandos a bit later than it was originally released. It's a long time ago and memory can be changed by nostalgia especially mine. I think a few of my first favourite games were pga on the genesis/megadrive and the ea triple pack with Ice hockey. These 2 games certainly look dated now.

yeah I should imagine that was the Tirpitz . It actually was sank in a Norwegian fjord during operation source, but they got the bit right by using a mini submarine to sink it.
