Well, I see two plotholes here: 1. How would the NKVD officer know what's happening on the Western Front? 2. Why would the Commissar - the most indoctinazed part of the USSR - betray Stalin?

Nah, this one is easy. Or hard. You can just clear the way, but it is preferable to deal with the two guards upstairs first. When they are killed without either seeing the other die, then you'll have eliminated that threat. Then, you can go and clear the way for the Commandos. Lastly, kill the General and run away. Thats easy. Saving the Russians lined up against the wall for execution, well... Do the same as with easy, but rush it as quickly as you can. But when you get to killing the General, try to get a good firing position to do the most damage in one long burst of your MP40. You'll probably have halved the number of Germans before they found cover, now its time to run and Single out individual or pairs of enemy soldiers.
