I don't think the clothes are intended for wear but to show creativity using various materials in shape, colour, draping of the material and movement.

@@Puddycat00 Just because you don't understand what art in fashion is, doesn't mean that it's ugly. Clothes that are presented on the runway aren't really for casual everyday wear but rather a showcase of designer's vision.

Communist Kylo Ren the internet troll - so why are you watching then? If you don’t like it, or understand it, you can stop the video in the first few seconds and watch something else, instead of trolling around. There is that.

Communist Kylo Ren the internet troll - commenting on somebody else’s post in such rude way saying how in the hell you supposed to understand one of the most important designer houses in history, it’s exactly what I would call TROLLING. Make no mistake, I’m sure no one cares if you “understand” this video or not, so you really didn’t have to tell me so. Certainly, you could have spend that time googling this designer house instead of making such ignorant comment. And maybe then you would have figure out that most designers nowadays understand construction, structure, and garment assembly because of this designer house. They’re the ones that innovate on how to built and create most complex shapes made for any avant- garde clothing. What they can make NOBODY can make. But somehow you think that’s not important 🙄🤦🏻♀️

Kylo Ren says screw you pokithot if you like "normal" clothes there are thousands of runway shows that you can watch out there, maybe h&m or zara's fashion shows are normal enough for you: but this one is not about making normal clothes that you wear on the street, it's about concepts and telling stories and deconstruct how we normally perceive fashion.

one of a kind pieces like these are inherently sustainable as they are not mass-produced and often make use recycled materials from previous collections. rei kawakubo since her debut has had a very specific pov to confront very strict and imperialist ideas of how fashion is supposed to look and be worn, so she will never truly make clothes where the intention is to be worn as clothes. she uses these shows to experiment with shape and composition and construction around the body. you're not expected to like it or even understand it, but there is a very established history of this fashion house that is only a few clicks away. i feel like we should all know by now that fashion has and always will be much more than just clothes

I'm not trying to be cruel but I can't see any reason one would wear these outfits as nothing more than costumes. I feel so sorry for those poor models who had to parade around in them. Also, how did any of the journalist manage to keep a straight face while covering this 😕

earlene wallace Did you just wake up yesterday? She has been doing this for years ... this has more to do with the philosophy of aesthetics and how fashion fits into it. She is attempting to simultaneously find new concepts in fashion as well as predict the future of it. It is impossible to tell what is sane or not sane in the future. As how the powdered wig was seen as sane before and seen as ridiculous now. For example, When the handbag for woman was first invented it was scandalous. Nowadays....
