A lot of the time I use Teknoaxe music, so it's easier to put the attribution here all the time! teknoaxe.com/Ho... - Sometimes I use White Bat Audio as well.
If it's not Teknoaxe, it's probably Bass Rebels, here on KZbin.

"See... I can get you what you want, I can. I can get you anything, you just have to talk to me, you have to trust me. You can trust me, 'cause I'm your priest, I'm your shrink... I am your main connection to the switchboard of the soul. I'm the magic man... Santa Claus of the subconscious. You say it, you think it, you can have it."

Dnd has a bell curve when you take into account the damage roll. The result is damage and that follows a kind of bell curve in D&D.

The "if you're kinky you're guilty" mindset is interesting. I live in NYC where there are distinct strata in the kink community. Someone with the reputation of Neil Gaiman would place him in the upper echelons of access to clubs and gatherings. Those folks tend to be well vetted and the community of consent is so strong that his kink history should be no more damning than his drinking at the pub history. And remember, it's only kinky once, after that it's a preference.

I do wonder what the pros and cons are of "roll for stats" vs "point buy in". Which do you prefer?

Are there not things Ronin or Japanese ever wrote that they'd prayed for? Webcam and fog: was the image from the webcam colour or monochrome? If the webcam's sensor picks up UV or infrared, you might've been getting some of those components contributing to the image that your eyes can't pick up...? ... I just clicked the like and the like counter went from 0 to... 0...? The bar went from half-green-half-red to green, but...? The add-on is showing 0 dislikes too, but...?

I guess your Ronin game will beg the question at some point, it probably has already, so might as well ask here. What's your take on legend of the five rings with regards to your game? I imagine you're going for something more historically accurate than a fantasy bushido simulator? Just curious. I'm a big fan of kurosawa samurai drama and don't mind a bit of fantasy and horror mixed in. Five rings is the closest thing that i know of but it doesn't quite do it for me.

I personally like lethality in low tech systems as well. I would think a single sword stab will definitely disable you, if not kill you on the spot like a bullet in the head, its just that traditional armor is useless against guns and killing from a short distance with just a pull of a trigger is much easier. But if we're trying to simulate fiction, typical sword fights in movies aren't about tanking hits nonstop, like in boxing or martial arts movies. Its more about dodging, parrying, maybe take a crippling hit or two and heroically powering trough. Apparently in gunfights most shots also miss. Action hero movies generally don't take much bullets at all. Maybe its just that in a game missing most of the time would be boring. Some game designers seem to think so lately. But taking a bunch of blade stabs and being totally fine until you drop to exactly zero hit point doesn't work for me. There's no drama or escalation at all here. I really can't think of any kind of fiction that stuff would try to emulate except video games.

I though it was funny in the vox machina animation to see characters take like one or two hit and be bleeding out of their eyes. That didn't feel like a dnd game at all (but its better fiction so its fine).
