Step by step. Looks like you upgraded your gravel pad, takes a lot of gravel for big trucks. My family are truckers and I'd recommend ya widen that narrow area of your drive, still doesn't look wide enough there for opses. 😂You are not going to enjoy flying back and forth. People are going to end up annoy you, have fun dealing with people.🤣 Have a great day Kevin.

Have you covered, where to start looking for a pollination contract for out of area sideliners to newly commercial guys? If so what video was that?

Do you have a video of your story of starting out to what you have become now in the beekeeping world? If you do I would love to see it! I wanna know what your goals were when you first started, I wanna know if you exceeded them.. did you plan on having as many colonies as you do now when you first started or did it just grow as you grew?

@@Hive5Bees you should do a video! Just simple one of what you wanted when you started out and what changed as you grew. Like I’m stating and I’m up to 30 colonies and I thought that was gonna be my goal. Now my goal is 50.. but once I hit 50 will my goal be70? And so on . I want to buy my equipment and build my bees and grow . I’m in that state hobbits and sideline.. I want to be in the sideline bad but not sure if that will be enough for me . Hope my questions make sense..

Nice shop. and pad. it's all only time and money. and a lot of decision making. The battle over what to spend our limited resources on and what are true necessities is a moving target. Boy is it. One of these days we can split the costs on a small plane. you can land next to your truck down here. . I hoped to do similarly for over 25 years. Fortunatly life threw other blessings on my lap which made the decision to fly ( personally) back and forth to bees something thats probably not going to occur in my lifetime. The choice to not do so and invest the $ in other more profitable ventures ( family) is not one I regret. The older I get the more I realize we are only temporary stewards of all we are blessed with. Be that a lot, little, or in between. Utilizing them all prudently each and every day is a challenge at best. one thing about being in the bees. adversity brings character and wiser decision making. MOST OF THE TIME.

Do you use a broker for the almonds?

Yes but be careful who you choose … reference are definitely important and then sticking with a company/broker that treats you fairly

My broker never inspected the hives last year and as we all know it was a rough year. The grower was spraying after every storm (necessary evil) and I simply ask if they were using a surfactant as they were spraying during flight time and dead bees were piling up in front of my hives. I had a honest fear that if too many bees were killed and then the hives were inspected I would not get paid. I was feeding weekly and videoed everything to show that the hives were indeed strong. Long story short the broker dumped me saying I stirred too much chit just asking about the spray. I believe he let the grower down by not inspecting.
