Hi there! I live in France. For those who are still wondering what kind of acid to use, I have cleaned mine with St Marc acid citric, and it worked just so fine only by keeping it submerged all night long.

Hi there Try ( Sprit of salt ) . Better than others . It will be enough to leave it in acid for only 2-3 hours.
