Yeah Mike seemed pretty bummed about the rainy days etc. He would only go seek shelter as a very last resort. We got a very late start to the season though.

Not sure if we spotted any orcas but definitely spotted many whales over the journey. It's fun to watch for their blowholes

To be honest, the rigging system was over my head as well. He runs the longer lines down the stabilizers, and we have ropes to pull them in when there's a bite. I wouldn't be able to explain it more than that, unfortunately.

How many hooks are normally runs? I wanna know how you layout those fishing lines from the pole on the boats.

We were running 14 lines with hooks at the most, and less if it was particularly windy because they would often get tangled.

Most of these were sold off the dock as whole fish, but later in the winter my captain ended up canning a good portion as well.
