The pollinator made a comment that I remember from my mentor. My mentor was a pollinator in New Jersey. He ran about 1500 hives. He would pollinate with about half the hives and build new hives every year. The reason he did that was because pollination would trash his hives. By the end of the pollination season the colonies were basically worthless to keep. So, during the season he was splitting hives to nucs, raised queens or bought them, and re-built what he needed the next year. The pesticides and traveling around South Jersey took its toll on the bees.

Dear Bob Binnie Thank you for the reply....... The subject of RNA must be a very serious and hopeful subject and especially to professionals such as yourself. I am amazed that you find the time to help folks on the You Tube as you and lots of others do. We are sincerely indebted to you. I see Barry Hart apparently is using the RNA system to good effect through Green Light bio sciences but because it's 'cutting edge' it may not as yet be well publicised. The main item is the welfare of the bees and the sooner the chemical treatments are no longer needed the better. Whatever is the best for the bees to counteract the horrible varroa must be done. Some shun using antibiotics for humans but when an antibiotic is needed then I would use it! Kill or cure is the saying? At 81 = been there, done that, or death. Which would the sensible individual choose? Anyone with an enquiring nature must surely see the potential of the RNA? I notice Dr Boncristiani mentioned it lately ! Best Wishes and thanks a million. from Mick the engineer in the UK

Near Barry I watched your video regarding the Green Sciences video on RNA which was exceptional due to it being at the cutting edge of killing varroa mites. The fact of not having to use chemicals on bees is wonderful. I sent an email to that company but have heard nothing. Please do you know anything about the time when such method re RNA will be available? I'd appreciate it if you can advise something constructive..... Thank you

My takeaways: --your product should be so good it sells itself. --Customers will be happier with your honey if you sell it to smaller packers because it will be more consistent. --Keep things simple: you don't HAVE to raise your own queens, mix your own feeding stimulant, and buy expensive pumps. --Be honest and generous, that's what counts. --You can have a very good business without being a technology expert.

Bob/Barry - whats the secret to maintaining your health (back/shoulders) etc as a long term commercial beekeeper. Being in this for 10 years closing in on 40 years old - that's becoming my biggest question...Appreciate your videos and knowledge.
@bobbinnie98723 жыл бұрын
I think that over time the muscle groups needed get stronger as long as you don't overdo it. Many beekeepers push themselves too hard and do things they shouldn't do. You have to know your limits. Or maybe it's just luck.
