Good stuff. I was a kid in KC in the 70's /80's and I did think these seemed a bit "fresher" than the ones I remembered then I read the description and saw they were from 96-02. I'm back in KC now after 27 years away!

Awesome video! I'm looking for a very specific Kansas city area power safety commercial, it would air on mainly children's networks aimed to teach kids about power safety. I can even remember most of the script but can't find it anywhere. If you have it or any information on it, I would greatly appreciate it

I have searched through videos like this one, videos over at the Internet Archive of old KC based commercials from the 80s and 90s, and scoured any sites that I thought could have this commercial digitized, but I only come up empty handed. If you're talking about "I've been climbing trees all my life," I'm with you. Would love to see again, and it's mind boggling that something as ubiquitous as that commercial would seem to disappear from the face of the earth.

@@gibian I'm not sure about the trees but do you remember it was some dude playing with a spiderman action figure in the tub and he wanted to play some tunes so he goes to plug In a radio before being stopped by the safety guy and then they talk about the "test button" on outlets? I know it's super specific but im dying to see it again so I know im not crazy. Also thank you for replying I completely forgot about all this!

@@tommyklaus3360 That's funny, we're both searching for different KC power safety commercials. I vaguely remember the one you're talking about. I'm on the hunt for this tree climbing commercial for the same reason - I want to see it again and make sure it's not some massive Mandala Effect, and that this commercial did in fact exist.
