I have to say, even if this isn't canon, I want to highlight how much this show has improved in its animation and writing. I've always felt like a lot of the gore in Pretty Blood was there for no other reason than to shock the viewer, which would be fine, but when you sacrifice the plot for just trying to be as brutal as possible with no buildup, it feels rushed. This however. This is how you make good use of gore. This episode has solidified Kling as my favorite character, and I just think his voice actor does an amazing job at portraying how unpredictable he can be, and how he always seems to be on top of everything, all that while being true to his character, with him never actually harming anyone who isn't directly involved with the torture. I also love how Kling doesn't only torture physically but mentally as well, luring Eluca to his house for him to slowly reveal he knew what he had done, and even after everything, Kling still wanted answers from Eluca, he wanted to understand Eluca's twisted philosophy, to expose him as a hypocrite, and show how flawed his philosophy is. Overall, the improved animation, writing, and voice acting, etc, have made this batch of episodes my favourite by FAR

This shows that, to Kling, they dehumanized everyone so much that they show more feeling to their close ones rather than the ones whom they tormented for absolutely no reason. seeing this level of torture in this modern high quality is absolutely wrenching, but in an awesome way. i was so invested the entire time. makes me sad this isn’t canon.. i’d love for this to be the true end of our infamous dream terror. nonetheless, this series has been amazing, and i cant wait to see if there’s more with the endings cliffhanger. on top of that, there’s always top props to the voice actors, they always do a phenomenal job!
