these guys made music that made you proud to be saved at a young age and to have no shame in your walk with the lord. these songs really got me through a lot and got me through my high school years. i couldnt wait for a commissioned album to drop. i love all of the members of commissioned. i and i agree this is the greatest male group of all time and all genres.

Commissioned are The Beatles of gospel music. One of the most innovative, and influential music groups of all time. There will never be another like them. Thank you Fred, Michael Brooks, Keith, Karl, Mitchell, Michael Williams, Marvin , Maxx, and Eddie. You all gave us some of the best music ever!

I put them on the same caliber as groups like Level 42, Chicago, and Toto because they wrote great songs, blended various styles of music, and they had numerous lead vocalists, many of whom are bassists.

I'm embarrassed that I'm just discovering this amazing band! I've read some of the comments and I agree. This band could stand toe to toe with Heatwave, The Ohio Players, Earth Wind and Fire, etc. Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp were in the same band? Unbelieveable!

there have been many great contemporary gospel quarters over the years, but for my generation (those in their mid 30s late early 50s) Commissioned has no equal. their music, ministry and excellence is in a class all by itself. i am so glad these brothers used their talent for ministry. I pray God would continue to bless and use their work for many generations to come.
