Commissioned back in the day.. You've Got a freind. Another wonderful performance. What a jot it would be to see these Guys reunite one more time to give us some new music... Nothing wrong with wishing. There as NOT been another chrisian group like this.. Enjoy!

I have so many favourites but this is definitely one of them. Love the trumpet/sax break in the original recording! Commissioned should be honored more and as much as possible. Every boy band was modeled after them and that says a lot!

Congratulations to Commissioned and Shirley Caesar for being honored and receieing the BMI trailblazers award. This will take place in early 2011. They reallly deserved it.

Best group ever! The sound quality on this video is trash, and I can’t stop listening to the quality and excellence of what they were doing! Their excellence cuts right on through!

Great work. Don't know how you preserved 'em but you did. Thank God. I remember when they came to Houston and killed it. I was in awe. Never seen a christian band with flava like that.

Unlike the Winans or the Clark Sisters, the original lineup of Commissioned was more a self-contained band than singing group. They embellished their singing with great musicianship and songwriting. They were also very fashion forward, often eschewing suits & tuxes for contemporary-but-tasteful fashions and grooming. Arguably the best Gospel band ever.
