I like what Texas is doing. Very strategic and targeted approach. We struggled pinning teams deep this year forcing them to have to drive most of the field against our defense so our first portal singing was one of the best punters in portal. With four of our DLs graduating and 3 young DL developmental players entering the portal we need DLs to add to our rotation. So we get Brevard from Purdue and are going after Lee Hunter from UCF. Look for Texas to add two more portal DL players after Brevard. Then we have three high school DL phenoms coming in from our 2025 class. Our TE Gunner Helm is graduating so we’re looking for another experienced TE to add to Amari Nieblack so we brought in Max Klare from Purdue for a visit. Isiah Bond is likely going to the NFL so we’re bringing in Eric Singleton from GT for a visit today to potentially add to our loaded WR room. We need one LB to add to our rotation since we’re losing one of our starting LBs Gbenda. So we go get Spence, a starter at Arkansas this year. Texas has a strong base of talent at each position so we’re just looking to backfill specific spots with additional rotational talent that is experienced and former starters at other Power 4 programs.
