The Holden VX Calais gets some New front brakes from Pedders Cannington
slotted rotors and ceramic pads is an nice upgrade on the old girl, this should pull up well now.
next job will be the rears

Thanks a mill again. I love ceramasil too and pretty much have down it the same way you did. Appreciate showing the bleed nipple loosen cos I was scared of striping it or braking it off. Can't get over how beautiful the Calais looks in that colour.

and if you cant afford pedders discs,would recomend vmax slotted aussie made and no run out,great stopping power just like pedders. at half the price.but still a great tutorial vid mate.

Excellent. Explained so well. The Bendix blue grease can also be used to coat the back of the brake pads in lieu of the copper as anti squeal. Also good to use in on the pistons as it is compatible with the brake system.

Great how-to. Instead of using the brake bleeder, I was going to leave it all until all my pads and rotors are changed, then flush and bleed the entire system, as it's been a few years. This method will still remove the old fluid in the piston mechanism won't it?

Why cant we just push the oil back into the reservoir instead of bleeding it, which has more chance of getting air bubbles if its done incorrectly,

Gday mate I like to flush any old fluid out of the caliper due to the fluid losing its viscosity and it allows new fluid in Hope this helps you out
